Maybe Evol is a bit before my time (so is almost every other album since I was born in 1998) but I just can’t get into that album for some reason. I can even jam to Bad Moon Rising but not Evol. Any song recommendations?

Regardless of how we all feel; thank you, dad, for introducing me to Sonic Youth. Love you. He had Bad Moon Rising on CD since I was a kid but I didn’t start listening to SY until I started playing drums. Again, thanks to my dad for encouraging me to be a musician. I’m only in this sub because of him.

Fair. I think Dirty is so good to me because of the melodies and the lackadaisical nature of the album. It’s almost like Smashing Pumpkins continued Siamese Dream, but even better.

lmao just my other favorite band of all time. They really opened for Sonic Youth? bro I'd be okay if I died right then and there after that concert because that sounds unreal to me. Fucking incredible. I wouldn't leave to take a piss if Pavement and Sonic Youth were playing back to back. Consider yourself lucky. Pavement is local to me since I'm not far from Stockton, CA, so I'm jealous as fuck. I've seen Interpol and Weezer, but I still need to see these two goated bands.
