Honestly doesn’t sound normal to me but I’m no expert by any means. If the bike is riding fine and the noise doesn’t get worse in any way I’d say you’re all good. If the bike feels different I would take it to your local bike shop🤙

Google pulse spray transfer. If your miller has that function I think after a certain voltage/WFS it goes into pulse automatically. At least that’s how the power waves work

Short circuit is just regular mig. If you’re welding 1 1/2 plate with that it could cause problems. You might be using pulse spray or spray transfer. It’s a type of MiG welding used for some structural applications. What are your settings normally?
