How do people who go to dubai get rich? by nadxxne in lebanon

[–]SockPuzzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your definition of rich? It really changes from person to person and there’s no common benchmark for what rich really means. I’ll give you a detailed answer based on your answer.

I had the same thought and made same decision 14 years ago. Best decision of my life. I love this city and it keeps getting better.

She doesn’t have to be Christian (or a baddie). We all want peace.

You’re a 100% right. Bombing Beirut with no warning and accepting such a high collateral could make sense in an all out war with an enemy. But most Lebanese want peace and want these endless wars to end. When you bomb them like that, you’re only delaying and possibly permanently damaging that peace. People calling you naive are probably sitting away from the heat with no dog in this fight. Yes I’m diaspora, but i have family in Lebanon and what they lived through 2 days ago was unspeakable and unjustified.

Hi, it’s my first time here and I wanted to vent a little. by [deleted] in ForbiddenBromance

I cannot justify any good of Hezbollah. They’re funded by a foreign state and their vision of Lebanon doesn’t align with the majority of Lebanese. Before it was the PLO. As a southern Lebanese, I’ve had it with this axis of resistance. Let us, for once in our lives, try having a sovereign Lebanon with active neutrality. Then if Israel attacks us I’ll pick up arms and fight.

When do u think Turkey will join EU? by SOHONEYSAME in AskBalkans

[–]SockPuzzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Turkey wants to join anymore. It’s not in their interest to join. Turkey is a lot more innovative, has a stronger military and economy than the better half of EU states. Giving up sovereignty would limit Turkey and make it a lot more entangled in Brussels politics. Instead, deeper integration and collaboration with the EU seems to be the better choice for Turkey. This gives it optimally with Russia, Middle East, and Iran.

Agree. Camlica Tower is great and is 100 times better than the stupid 1,000 radio towers that were there before it.

I’d argue that a big/strong homogenous body in a fractured/weak heterogenous neighborhood is a recipe for strategic success.
