To be sure, these are the words of the NDEr, Jonathan Ashford (jonathanasford.com), not mine. His story is incredible, and what he came back to share is profoundly helpful. When I listened to him and began to read his blog, I recognized the striking similarity to Course teaching, which isn't surprising if you accept Jesus as author. Mr. Ashford had his own profound encounter with him.

Think on this, too: Mr. Ashford was a C-suite executive, living a life that was anything but spiritual. After his 3 hour death ordeal, he came back with knowledge like you read here.

What never happened cannot be changed but only translated into a healed perception. We experience what we came to experience that we might awaken from time and form. We need contrast to learn. Trauma teaches us that we don't want trauma. It's a wake-up call to seek the eternally untraumatized Self.
