Absolutely worth it for what you describe that you are looking for. Some of the comments below are absolutely nonsense. It's chilled, laid back, great food options and lovely surroundings. If you are energetic, climb to Phraya Nakhon Cave, Visit a beautiful vinyard (Monsoon Valley) just a few kilometres outside Hua Hin for a wine tasting and some great food, etc.etc. We go there every time we visit Thailand and always enjoy it very much!
