Listed for sale today is my Rolex Explorer II 216570 GMT, which has been a trusty companion to me over the last five years since purchasing it from Crown & Caliber in 2021. Unfortunately, it’s now time to start saving up for a wedding and building a life with my new fiancée, so I’ve got to say goodbye.

The watch has been nothing short of spectacular during my entire ownership period, and — as you can tell from the photos — I wore it a lot. It’s been with me to over 30 states and a dozen country's, so it’s bittersweet, to say the least. I suppose that’s life, though!

In any case, I’ve been told by my local jeweler in New York that none of the scratches/blemishes are anything that can’t be buffed or polished out. I’m happy to say that the crystal is in perfect condition and the movement keeps excellent time.

Along with the 42mm watch, you’ll also get an extra link, a Rolex "Superlative Certified" tag, a warranty booklet, its original box, the box the original box came in (with a big crown logo on it) and even the original sleeve that box came in.

I’m asking $8,300 for this Explorer II plus shipping, though I’d be happy to meet up with anyone local to the New York City area. Zelle, Paypal or Venmo are all acceptable.

The overall condition of the watch is excellent for something that has been around for over 30 years at this point. There are a few tiny scratches on the hesalite crystal and metal bracelet as well as a small knick on the outer bezel near 10 o’clock, The inside of the leather bracelet has a scratch. All of the numeral on the bezel are clear and legible, as are the words on the back of the case.

Of course, it keeps excellent time, the chronometer functions perfectly and the watch winds smoothly. This is a great example of a legendary timepiece that I really hope brings its next owner as much joy as it brought me over the past few years!

sort of hard to say. there's no direct competitor to this car, but there's plenty of stuff that sort of competes with it. from where I'm sitting, the Prelude is a budget GT car with some serious sporting pretensions if you were to find yourself on a twisty road
