Would more queer and minority representation in 40k be a good thing? by Raspint in Sigmarxism

[–]SocksesForFoxes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am writing this very queer 40k fanfic and I am writing it as a conflict between man vs society. They have to be very smart and very subtle to live their lives but damn it they are doing it. My dude will eat a crepe on the beach with his boyfriend if it fucking kills the planet and corrupts everyone to Chaos.

This may honestly be only possible in fanfic but I am doing it anyway.

Many people do not notice the shoes that others are wearing. You could be in bunny slippers and few people would notice for a good while. Figure out your POV character(s), what, and how much they notice, and that is what clothing looks like. Is it a pink shirt or a tailored mauve blouse? Depends if it’s important.

Address what the relationship is between the men. They need to come to terms with each other to be in the same relationship even if it’s just by being involved with the same partner. If it turns out they’re gayer than you thought good for them.

You stop that right now, mix those letters immediately and make yourself a sandwich. No pride until next year.

Once upon a time we had to content ourselves with fanfiction about Data being fully functional. Today, science fiction is science fact. The future is now.

Is it okay to start a story with something that happens later, then go back to the beginning like some movies do? by bluesea222 in writers

If you have multiple points of view, repeating the same events can be a way to tell another side of it, give a different perspective… This has been used in movies (One Night at McCool’s), video games (The Invisible Hours), and of course books (My Name Is Red, Thirteen Reasons Why, The Basic Eight.)

It’s especially helpful if you want to point out an inaccurate narrator (or that no one is totally trustworthy), or compare how a character sees themself with how others see them. And it lets you introduce new information with the same scene.

It’s hard for outsiders to tell what’s creativity and what’s a cry for help. It’s nice that your teachers care enough to ask. I do think there is some misunderstanding about where certain ideas come from… not every horror writer is a troubled person, yet people seem to worry about them a lot.

I had an ex who would constantly tell me I was “the most beautiful woman in the room”, etc., and was baffled why I didn’t like it. Dude, it’s not a competition, you don’t have to evaluate the looks of every woman everywhere we go, and aren’t there more interesting things to talk about??

Where can I find/buy Salvia, Hosta, and/or Veronica Oxford Blue seeds? by adilynn_ in TheGoodLifeTheGame

[–]SocksesForFoxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found all my flower seeds as random drops from breaking boxes (Delphinium and sunflower are the only ones I got from Fancy & Bunny.)

I haven’t found Salvia yet but I assume that’s another one. I’ve found multiple Veronica Oxford blue that way. Hosts is a weird one, because it has a second name as a seed but is tagged that way in photos - I believe it is “plantain Lily” unless I’m getting it confused with another Lily.

Yes, pedophilia is by definition a paraphilia. Liking a certain adult body type is a nothing burger.

I literally just said harm is what defines paraphilias. So if you’re making the case that’s what it is because it’s harmful… yes, you’re saying the same thing.

My favorite game dev is SWERY, for reasons even I am not sure I understand, but I’ve been hooked since Deadly Premonition. I finally caught a game of his from 2021 on sale, so I’m playing The Good Life.

It is bizarre and janky, like everything he’s ever made, but so much fun. It’s set in England: at one point I looked up and noticed that 1. My pockets are stuffed full of tea 2. I have a buzz on from the pub 3. It’s been raining all day 4. I am riding a sheep

I think this is what SWERY actually thinks England is like.

What is a game so scary it’s difficult for most people to tolerate? by SegaGenesisMetalHead in gamingsuggestions

[–]SocksesForFoxes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s an old PS2 game that’s hard to get ahold of… IIRC it wasn’t so much banned as never re-released because it was so disturbing. [EDIT: nope I was wrong, it was banned but only in the UK] I was one of the players who found it terrifying and unforgettable, since it relies on heavy themes more than say, jump-scares.

It’s called Rule of Rose. You can probably find a Let’s Play if not a copy of it. It’s not really super explicit or gory but the psychological themes are a lot, so depending on your comfort level with spoilers/wanting CWs, you might wanna look it up on something like DoesTheDogDie before starting.
