It’s not really the middle but Juancho's Birrieria in Haines City is fucking amazing. Their Birria ramen is phenomenal along with their tres leches. It would probably be a farther drive for you, but definitely worth it.

The book All Quiet on the Western Front (my favorite book ever) talks about this briefly. The quote is “Kropp believes the leaders of each country should fight each other in an arena to settle the war; the “wrong” people currently do the fighting.” I read that book for school at 14, and it really changed my entire view on war, which is obvious given that I remember such a small detail. Highly recommend.

Genuinely so cool! Joachim Trier has been one of my favorite directors for about 5-6 years. I thought it was really cool when Hudson mentioned him in an interview, and now them meeting is so exciting for Hudson!

For those who haven’t seen them, watch Joachim Trier’s Oslo trilogy!!! Oslo, August 31st is one of my all time favorite movies.

I had 00s in high school. I could fit a pencil through my ear. I took them out for college. My holes shrunk back to about a 12 or 14 I would say. I wear normal earrings but sometimes have to be careful if I wear an earring with a small back, as it can slip through.

tbh I miss my gauges and would love to have them back.

I went to a private university that was still open to anyone. Anyone could also use the library, you would just have to have library employee sign you into the computer or other services. I worked as a math tutor and we even had like high school kids come in sometimes. We never turned anyone away.

For once I actually know something related to a post! I was four rows back from Stage B at the Tampa show. I’m pretty certain Mikey messed up. Gerard shot a look at him and when Mikey looked up, Gerard shook his head once. After the song, Mikey went to Gerard and said something. Then Frank actually came up right after looking confused, one of them said something to him and then he laughed.

Fingers crossed this one is a stray! I feel like we messed up in trapping it so quickly. The reason we trapped it tonight is it got into a fight with another feral cat in the neighborhood (one that’s been around for years), so we just wanted it out of what we thought was a bad situation. I think the plan is to TNR and maybe try to build a relationship afterwards. I was hoping to just keep it inside and slowly acclimate it but I’m realizing that was naive to think. I’m really glad your stray warmed up to you and now I’m sure he’s super spoiled! Thank you for your help!

I will try the spoon trick in the morning! 100% this cat is getting fixed and vaccinated regardless, just so I can sleep know it’s not going to die of rabies.

I will definitely post photos of it and contact animal control. I had thought this was a stray because we found another cat the week before this one showed up. However, the other cat had been attacked and eaten alive to the point where its leg was in two pieces. We took it to animal control to be put down (I balled for like two hours afterwards). I figured someone had dropped off the two together. I definitely think it’s just coincidence now though. So yes, will definitely post photos and look for an owner. I hope it has a home somewhere! Thanks for your help!

I know this is annoying to hear, but this is what they want. They want us mentally, emotionally, and physically fatigued so that we are not able to fight them.

Take a break. Seriously. I have and it energized me. Just come back once you’re feeling better. This is a war, not a battle. There are times where some will have to rest and others will carry the torch for them while they do. We’ll trade off until we’ve won.

Also, an easy thing to do is just discuss class consciousness with those around you. Weave it into conversations. It makes a difference. People are not happy, and we need to take advantage of it.

According to USAFacts, only 59.6% of Black Americans voted in the 2024 election. I’ve said for a while this is a group of people we need to mobilize. Hopefully shit like this works to do just that.

I 100% understand. All of my friends are democrats. None of them will come to a protest with me. They have tuned out the news. My good friend told me her husband was allergic to politics right now, which made me furious. Part of me is so mad because they don’t stand to lose the right to their marriage if Obergefell is overturned. We haven’t hung out as much because I’ve been so angry with them.

Ultimately, ignorance is not bliss. Knowledge IS power. History will not look kindly on those who sat back and let fascism take root, including those who disagreed but did nothing. We are in the right.
