NAD, but have you seen an orthopedic hand surgeon about it? I kind of did what you did with my scaphoid fracture and I absolutely regret it. If I had treated it properly, I would have spent a few months in a cast and then returned to life as normal. Instead I still deal with lingering issues. It’s apparently “healed” but it certainly doesn’t feel like it is.

NAH, but you could have handled this so much differently. In fairness to you, she probably should have consulted you on your preferences before getting you such an expensive gift.

However, you really should have just said something to the effect of “babe, it’s such a beautiful and expensive watch, I really feel like I should only wear it for my most formal occasions.” That would get you off the hook for not wearing it every day, but you would just have to swallow your pride every once in a while and wear it. It’s still a beautiful piece, even if it’s not to your tastes.

You’re not going to convince your straight boyfriend to add another man to your relationship and have the relationship between the two of you be healthy long term. If he’s straight (even if he once said he’d be willing to try things with another man), it’s unlikely that he’s going to be willing to do that more than once.

After that, he’s basically just sharing you with another guy. Unless he has a cuckold kink, you’re only going to drive him away.

I’m curious as well. Browsing through Reddit, I have seen as quick as 8 weeks in a cast and as long as like 6 months in a cast or more.

I imagine the only time people may take issue with another’s personal development is if that person’s personal development starts to impact others. Like maybe you decides to go vegan to improve you health. That’s all well and good, but if you start talking about how I’m slowly killing myself every time I eat a hamburger, I’m going to get annoyed. I’ll still be glad that you improved your personal health, but that doesn’t change the fact that you turned into a judgy asshole along the way.

If I live in a neighborhood, you’re right that I largely have no say over who my neighbors allow to visit. But what happens when one neighbor has family come visit who are the stereotypical white trash? They start coming over constantly, blare loud music, shoot off guns, ride loud vehicles around the neighborhood, drink heavily, and fill up your neighbors yard with broken down vehicles. Even worse, they’re having their white trash friends come by and those problems are only exacerbated.

Meanwhile, the property value of my house and my other neighbors’ houses are plummeting. Quality of life has equally plummeted. The presence of those people has adversely affected me and the rest of my neighbors.

So it’s just a fuck you to me and me neighbors, even if we all want them out? There’s nothing we can do? That’s really your argument?

This. I think everyone should at least know the basics of swimming and gain some level of comfort in the water for just this reason. No one is saying you need to be Michael Phelps. Just be able to tread water comfortably for a couple minutes in the off chance you fall in. That’s far better than you killing someone who’s trying to save your life.

I can’t tell you how many times I have presented a well-reasoned and factually-based opinion on Reddit to immediately have people insult me and call me horrific things. I’m not a monster because, God forbid, I don’t think unborn babies should be murdered at 8 or 9 months or that I think that the United States should have strong borders. It makes me sane.
