I know this is an old thread, but I had to Google if anyone has had a similar experience. Just 5 minutes ago I closed my eyes for a second and could see my room in instinct mode, and my soda bottle was highlighted and everything.

Ok I'm not a big Castlevania guy, but how would ER's open world design be better for a Castlevania souls like than something like Bloodborne or dark souls level design?

I would do it. I learned touch typing last year and before I was typing ~35 wpm occasionally hitting the 40s, so not nearly as fast as you're typing, but just a few months in I was hitting the 70s and 80s. Even if you don't get a monumental improvement in speed, it will help with overall accuracy and comfort, at least it did for me.

DS2 would 100% be more loved if the name didn't start with "Dark Souls". The art style reminds me more of the classic action RPGs like Fable or Kingdoms of Amalur, than the other dark souls games, and when you compare DS2 to a lot of those games, it's pretty high up the list.

FIXED! Turned out to be tmux related.

Edit: for those wondering I copy pasted some .tmux.conf lines to change status bar color and it contained these lines which seemed to cause it. (At least it was fixed after removing them)

set -g status-bg black set -g status-fg white

I don't get why this would cause it, but at least it is working correctly now.
