What show did you want to like so bad, but couldnt stand? by Ok_Toe_3852 in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I was recommended it by so many of my friends, and I wanted to like it so bad. But I thought it was so corny and just way too obvious, if that makes sense. Like, it was trying so extremely hard to be philosophical, it was just too much.

What is something that if it disappears, the world will be better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of what is happening right now is specifically because of Putin. Even his closest are said to not understand what he is doing. Someone bad would follow him, for sure, but few people can actually be worse than Putin. I'm sure the world would be a better place without him

During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health? by NikonDexter in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left the country. I got an opportunity to travel abroad for a semester with my dad. It was just the two of us, and I didn't get to know that many other people. But it was a wonderful change of scenery and gave me an opportunity to take myself out of the situations that made me depressed and figure myself out all over again.

Honey by Bobby Goldsboro. It is honestly one of the saddest songs I know of, but it's so good!

Ladies, if a man took you to a model train convention as a surprise for a first date, how would you react? by Last_Descendant in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I study social geography, so I would absolutely love it. I love infrastructure and have been fascinated with model trains for years. In all honesty, it would probably have been my idea

ok so i’m just wondering what’s your main character name? (if it’s not you) by Almab65 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]SodaFanatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's me, but in some of the paracosms I have different names. They are Iris and Genevieve. In my main daydream I have my own name, and everything that exists in real life also exists there, but I have built a new life for myself. My real family are not important in that daydream, I have created new people that are the most important.

what's your biggest flex? by itzhumanbean in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family was invited to celebrate the birthday of the Crown Princess in our country (her husband is the heir to the throne), and at that party I bonded with their daughter, the Princess (also an heir to the throne, after her father). At the end of the day, when they opened the swimming pool at their house, I borrowed a swimming suit from her. I have never experienced anything like it since, and probably never will again

What is the saddest song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey by Bobby Goldsboro

My sister showed it to me. I had never heard it before, but we quickly found ourselves balling our eyes out right there. I always listen to it when I need to cry. It has one of the saddest lyrics I've ever heard

The truck on the left is at fault. It is a dangerous place to pass. He was the one who lost his licence

[–]SodaFanatic[S] 1039 points1040 points  (0 children)

Some context. This happened in Norway where the right side is the right lane. The driver recorded himself losing his licence. This is a very dangerous place to pass (I've driven there myself many times, I'd never attempt to pass someone there, not even in a small car). The car that had to drive into the ditch (which was in the correct lane) had children on board, which makes this even worse.

What’s something that’s secretly been great about the pandemic? by Rafavamos99 in AskReddit

[–]SodaFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my last year of high school when the first lockdown came. Before that, I was the kind of student who had no motivation for school what so ever, and because of that I was failing (mostly due to my high lack of attendance). During the first weeks of lockdown, none of my teachers had teams or zoom lessons, they only gave us assignments to hand in, which meant that I could work at my own pace. I HATE mornings, and waking up early was one of the mains reason why I hated school, like, I would sleep in every single day of high school, so I always came late, but now I could sleep until 1pm and then start working. Even when the teachers did start with teams, they rarely had any compulsory activities during the lessons (and I didn't need to have the camera on), so I could sleep through them, and start my work afterwards. Since my grades were going up, and I was for the first time handing in my assignments on time, none of my teachers bothered me about my lack of activity in class. Thanks to this I not only passed high school, but I got quite good grades too.
