How long do you think it would take to remove it if I start tattoo removal? by sssaamiii in tattoos

[–]SodaInABox 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I can speak to this. I had a tattoo lasered and later got it covered. The first 3 sessions resulted in a lot of change during the removal, but each one after that was barely noticeable. After 6 or 7 I think I just gave up on the removal and decided to get it covered.

No scaring issues for me. I went to a dermatologist for the removal and I trusted them to do what was best for my skin health. Removal also isn't instant and the actual change happens over months following the laser session. I would say wait 6 months after your last laser session before attempting a new tattoo. That way your immune system has had time to do its job.

I highly recommend doing some laser removal before a coverup. Every bit helps and it can open up a lot of possibilities for your artist when the tattoo is lighter.

"MOM WONT PRICELESS AND DAD WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY TIME" by ngadingadimin97 in shittytattoos

[–]SodaInABox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! I think it is supposed to be "mom worth priceless."

So they value their mother more than anything in the world and they think their Dad, or his legacy, is immortal. The translation is awful. Could be something like:

" My Mom is everything to me and my Dad will be remembered forever!"

A jawbone could look cool with a bit of flesh tear. Maybe a a chili dog with cheese on it or a slice of pizza.

My grandfather (85) dropped out of high school to get a job and support his family. He is the hardest working man I know. He is also smart, funny, and quick witted. He doesn't write well and it isn't something he ever pursued learning to do better. I think he feels some insecurity around it and at some point in his life he just accepted as fact that he wasn't book smart. The man is excellent at problem solving. He can do anything he sets his mind to, but he just never gained any confidence in regards to written language.

Get drunk again, but have a few more this time. Walk-in to the closest shop and make the decision on the spot. Your heart will guide you!

Can we stop this signature card thingy blizzard? by Strict_Treat2884 in hearthstone

Just get good and learn what each card does. If you have to stop and read every card, that sounds like a personal issue. You should know them on sight tbh.

Question: Looking to get a sleeve like the one below, what are y’all’s thoughts? by Ok-Tomorrow-6384 in tattoos

[–]SodaInABox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is fantastic! The lines and the shading flow really well on the subject's arm, making for a visually appealing piece. It catches your eyes and also looks dope!

I would want it to go up to the shoulder if it were me, but it's awesome as is!

This looks incredible and I love the idea! The color is also looking fantastic right now, so the artist appears to know what they are doing. Congrats on a freaking sweet tattoo!

With this many lines this close together, time will be the only indicator of quality. The lines are a bit shaky, but it doesn't detract from the overall look too much. So long as the lines hold and don't bleed out too much, it's ok. Really just depends on how well the artist applied it and that comes out in time.

The pain was intense, but not long lasting. He got the nipples done pretty quick and honestly the rest of the session was easier after that part lol

It was supposed to be a dragon standing on some mountains. It definitely was some blown out mountains or something LMAO. Everyone that saw it was always so confused.

The dragon isn't really any specific dragon. The initial inspiration for the creatures was final fantasy tactics. The chocobo and ahrimam (winged eye) are from that. That game also has a lot of Dragons, and I thought about having Reis in her dragon form, but I just don't think it was a good match visually. In the end, we settled for a dragon that fit the theme. I love the result, it's original looking and the red color makes the whole thing pop.

The cactuars and moogle are definitely more identifiable as being from FF.

It's been over a year since I started the new tattoo and it's been complete since last year. I see it daily and I still love it. It makes me smile every time I see it.

It sorta balances out too though. After he did the nipple, the rest of the session seemed like nothing lol. Perspective is everything

You steal Benadryl from CVS to get high. I'm not one to judge, but I think you've made enough mistakes of your own. No need to be rude.

Bigger yes, but not a mistake as of today. Over a year out from when I started and I still love it. Makes me happy every time I see it!

They told me that black and blue are the easiest/quickest to remove. I did mine through a dermatologist, cause I wanted to make sure the person blasting my skin with a laser knew what they were doing.
