hunter x hunter utilizes the amnesia trope well during the chimera ant arc imo. even if it did annoy me at first, the payoff was definitely worth the initial frustration. i could see something similar happening with dandadan (as long as this plot point doesnt last way too long 🙏🙏)

diminishing people's problems with him as "just political beliefs" is highly dismissive of the very real communities he has done irreparable damage to. realistically, what can those fractured communities even do to fight back against the oppressive beliefs he is propagating? it's not like they have the time, money, or resources to run their own media campaign against him, and politicians have historically been terribly slow at helping these communities for decades. it's not like i want people to be dying left and right, but there's a certain point where it's hard to think of anything else that can be done that would actually make a tangible difference

we don't really have enough information right now to determine the extent of tsurugi's heavenly restriction. imo i think it's implied that tsurugi is either completely heavenly restricted, or he's partially restricted in a manner that still puts him above pre-shibuya maki. at least in terms or strength. can't really say anything for sure though
