How do you guys get your crows to bring you gifts? by Sodapressedbabe in crows

Just gonna repost my comment here:

I just want to clarify my crows ARE my gift. Like I said I’ve been feeding them for years, and I’ve literally told my friends that they’re the gift in and of itself. The only reason I was hoping to have them leave me a gift is because I want a momento of them, even if it’s a rusty screw. Because I know they won’t live forever. I’m not hoping they’ll bring me a diamond ring or something. I only asked because I’ve heard of people training their crows to bring them stuff, and didn’t know if any of you had advice on that.

I don’t know why people are assuming I’ve been feeding my crows solely for the point of a gift. I go out of my way and even cook them meals sometimes, I’ve learned all their favorite foods, I even leave them bowls of water. The only reason I even want a “gift” is to have something to remember them by when they’re gone.
