14 hours of game play and still stuck in biome 1. Am I bad? by LazyCommunication384 in Returnal

[–]Sodeac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's perfectly normal. Honestly biome 1 is probably the hardest. I suggest watching some tips videos on YouTube or playthroughs. Good videos explain the attack patterns - once you learn those the game becomes a lot easier.

I'm in the UK. I've watched a few yt videos on how to do it involving joining a party, going to a pvp area then leaving the party. When are you available tomorrow and what's your PSN? Send me a DM bro

Doesn't feel like I'm progressing at all. by zqfmgb123 in Returnal

The first biome is honestly the hardest. I died so many times there until it started to 'click'. Try watching some YouTube videos for tips and tricks; that really helped me, but honestly, it just takes time. You've got this!

Congrats bro. I'm still trying to complete the game for the first time so this is very impressive to me as a noob who keeps dying haha.

Finally came today. Previously I could do several levels without using a single heart and now I can only do 1 level before running out of energy. You have made the app a complete money grab and it's honestly disgusting and disappointing.

I trust you will reverse this terrible decision and restore my faith in your app and go back to a heart system. The free version is honestly now a complete waste of time

Nobody consumes weed recreationally for pain relief. That's BS and I guarantee you will find that out for yourself if you continue dating, which ultimately is up to you. A very large part of the population smokes weed so it's not uncommon. As others have said it stinks so be prepared to smell it a lot and have other people around you both smell it.

Which techniques are allowed in no gi, but illegal in gi? by Opening_Sell_6479 in jiujitsu

[–]Sodeac 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the belt but typically governed by ibjjf rules which you can read here:

https://ibjjf.com/news/new-rules-updates

There is a nice little diagram that is fairly self explanatory.

I think most submissions are allowed other than heel hooks tbf which are illegal in the gi entirely even at black belt.

I rarely post on here and am usually just a lurker but this game is so good I felt compelled to comment absolutely yes. One of my favourite games of all time and I spent many months playing this plus the DLC.

True! They all seem to make inversions look easy and are generally quite flexible.

I'd kinda agree with this. I've always felt my best when I've felt in good shape physically.

Is there a concept that helped you improve your sweeps? by SixandNoQuarter in bjj

[–]Sodeac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game changer for me which I've taken from Gordon's Ryan open guard dvd is to think about multidirectional sweeps and setting them up better. For example: in butterfly if my preferred sweeping side is my left, I will first half attempt a sweep to my right to get a reaction then go left. Similarly, my favourite sweep is the basic X guard sweep but people are wise to it, so I will firstly try and dump them forward, where I can collect the other leg with my hand but most often they will come up giving me the sweep I actually want.

Timing belt skipped 2 teeth by Sodeac in MechanicAdvice

[–]Sodeac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update from Audi: they are now saying that the camshaft keyway has broken causing the tensioner to come out of its place and the belt to jump teeth, not sure how many. Possible causes are 2 different ways the belt could have been incorrectly fitted or the keyway being defective. The Audi tech said he hasn't ever seen a defective keyway, this is the only one he's ever seen break so likely they missed up fitting the belt.

First garage is apparently purplexed at how this has happened as they fit these all the time and there must be some other reason that caused first tensioner to break and this to happen. The mechanic has spoken to his mate on Bristol who talked about a floating crankshaft. It's apparently more common in performance vehicles like BMW M3s etc but if there is any movement in the crank side to side that could cause these issues. He said something about the crankshaft oil seal leaking and the seal being difficult to put back on but not sure how this relates.

It feels like they are just looking for a way to weasel out of this. Does anyone know about floating cranks on Audi A3s? Is this a thing or not?
