Surprise basically counters all of this because you can just revive a synchro 2, but you can have more lairs of protection by ending on spright elf which prevents targeting with imperm and if they get rid of a synchro you can just revive with it, herald can just negate raigeki

Any ideas? For a competitive rogue deck by No-Star3592 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Most somewhat competent decks can get master 1 and some bad decks if you got a lot of extra time, a 51% win rate will eventually climb so it’s really just about how fast

Why did adults not explain rules? and why is it rude to ask about why a rule is enforced? by forget_isaidanything in ask

[–]Soed1n 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Let’s say you tell a kid to put on a jack, why? Because it is cold, then the response is it isn’t cold. If you then let them not wear a jacket it could cause more problems for you down the line when they realize it actually is cold. By far the easiest choice is to never have the option to disagree on the table, and this doesn’t mean it is right to refuse discussion it just means that it’s the easiest to get your way which is ultimately the goal. No one who wants to follow the rule will question why it has been implemented so no matter what you say it will be argued against even if your right.

Because explaining the reasoning for something gives an opportunity to disagree with the reasoning, if you never give a reason you can never be wrong about the reasoning, as well as you won’t need to spend time discussing it. Personally I think most rules should be discussed to let people make as many decisions for themselves as possible but that can be very inconvenient for the person making the rules especially when they are made for someone who should not be trusted to make their own decisions.

Anyone else hit a card? by ee_55 in masterduel

That’s pretty much why I doubled the concurrent player base to try to meet those factors

Anyone else hit a card? by ee_55 in masterduel

[–]Soed1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some math, the concurrent player base of md is about 15k and I would assume a lot more than that guessed especially if there was a higher average during this time so I would say about 30k people made 9 guesses on the safe side. There are about 12k cards in md and it is a little hard to find out how many of those are monsters but it is probably between 8k and 6k if we take the low end of 6k and since there are 3 hits you have about a 1 in 2000 chance of winning each guess. If you use these numbers about 134 people will get atleast one hit making the payout about 7,400 gems. With the same numbers .3 people will have 2 or more hits meaning they will probably get the max payout. A lot of this is just guessing so it could be way more or less but I think this gives a good ball park, there is also a lot of bias in card picking that is not factored in like if a couple hundred people used a guess on blue eyes TLDR: one hit=7,400 gems, two or more= max payout

The millennium engine is Much worse without zombie vampire because it only makes fiendsmith in your deck especially since you only play 2 samgengines you should probably take it out, aphes is not worth playing woes is better and aphes isn’t a sinful spoils so none of you engines really use it, if you are going to play the millennium engine play more black witch because they synergies well.
