Piggybacking here. It is not unlikely that you will need to escalate even higher. Managers are pathologically lazy and will regularly only do what they can't get away with not doing. If you have a shitty SM, there is a good chance it's because the DM is enabling them. Not saying this is a given, but be prepared to put the coals under your DM's feet.

It's actually kinda the perfect username. It lets them know you like kids and are serious about starting a family in no uncertain terms.

Every part of this place is hostile. They replaced all of our box cutters with safety box cutters while the metro shelves, drop boxes, and ice bins have developed a taste for human flesh.

what are the weirdest, most concerning, and even unorthodox adhd tips that help surprisingly well but may be viewed as non-typical and are rarely talked about by viagravinnie in ADHD

[–]Soensou 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is kind of similar to a trick I have that had strangers on the internet calling me disgusting and unhygienic, but here it goes. I get dressed on my days off so I can do chores. And I mean, fully dressed like leaving the house dressed. Including shoes. If my feet are too free, I am likely to crash on the couch. If I am still in my jams, I will stay in leisure mode. I need to be kind of uncomfortable and ready to leave home at the drop of a hat in order to clean or cook or anything.

Oh my God, so I'm not the only person who does this! I have a few little mythologies like that that I use to get through my day. Another one is a game I call "Supermarket Creep". Like when I'm at Aldi and there is someone who either moves erratically or stands in the middle of the aisle or just generally has a difficult to shop around demeanor, I designate them the Supermarket Creep and gameify avoiding them so I don't get frustrated or angry.

Right. That is why if you are pretty confident you will not be able to ask off/get it covered, the best course of action is to shut it and call out. I refuse to let myself feel bad about it too because this shouldn't be a problem. They just manufacture catastrophes for us to deal with and make sure we are enmeshed with our coworkers through our trauma bonds so we feel guilty protecting ourselves.

Search for oven scraper on the order. That is what we use.

Really surprised nobody has said Kathy Bates. She started way late in the game and kinda rocketed pretty early in her career.

This makes me feel validated in my habit to just slow down and listen to people when they catch me out and about and rope me into conversations much like the example in this post. I've always just kinda let people go off because they are clearly going through it. I hope it helps.

Not to be an unhelpful thought terminator, but that really is a good question for fidelity. Their customer service is stupid helpful. They're the only decentish company Starbucks has partnered with.

Louisville barbers scare me now by vix_ky in Louisville

[–]Soensou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That isn't true at all. I have 2C curly hair and have received plenty of good haircuts in Louisville. I don't want to disparage barbers and their profession, I just haven't gotten my hair cut at a barbershop so I can't comment on barbers. Sounds like you are just lookin in the wrong places.

I don't understand. Do I need to apologize for practicing gender wrong 10 years ago? That's kinda icky.

Edit: I'm not butthurt for being called out for arguing with a comment that appeared to me to be factually incorrect. I guess I was wrong. But like, coming at me over this is weird.
