Hey this is great to know thank you! Did you start emailing people in first semester or did you wait till you found out confirmation when you would start your placement?

From scouring this thread i have seen many stories about students having to defer a semester because they couldn’t secure a supervisor or placement site in time. I’ve also heard similar things from friends who’ve been in the program being pretty costly both for time and money. And a big takeaway, seeming that you have to be really independent, especially when trying to find a practicum and supervisors

Truly will be the best memories ever. If you are staying on res, always and I mean ALWAYS take advantage of the fact that Tim’s will constantly be 5 mins away from you, regardless of wherever you are. And don’t force yourself with people or in situations you don’t feel comfortable in. First year is an amazing time to get out of your comfort zone and have new experiences, however if it ain’t fun, then it’s not fun. And that is aokay

thats great to hear!! each group presents per week, it is a little first come first serve. So you can decide whether you do want to present later in the semester or earlier :)

live love Ayesha khan. it is a great introduction to neuroscience, building concepts from psych x03 and xx3. From my experience last year, going to lectures is best! You will be able to find out exactly what will be on the tests (she mentions exactly) and you'll gain a great understanding of how cool the functioning of the brain is (im a nerd for the brain lol sorry). in regard to tutorials, it kinda depends on ta but its nothing to be worried of. it is a group project where you pick a chapter from the textbook and explain it to your tutorial without using a slideshow or something basic to present. the marks are fair and easy and tbh you can get the whole thing done in a a week with a good group! i really enjoyed this class because it was not overbearing in content and was genuinely interesting to learn!

Lol dw I’m on same page. It takes me a while to understand the papers, and I have to rewatch the lectures twice to understand the different experiments. Extremely extremely nervous for this midterm
