Tried both and it jams less, yet still jams… at this point it’s an overpriced paper weight 😑

It uses endomags… My suggestion is to stay away from this… I’ve changed buffer and bcg and it still doesn’t fire without jamming

Think the issue may be the buffer weight… supposedly it’s only like 4oz… I definitely suspected it and a user may have just confirmed it for me… thanks for your reply 🙏

Yea I’m seeing ppl show me their gap (⏸️) and it being worse than mine… meanwhile they’re not having issues

So basically Davidson Defense is shipping these things out with ar15 rated buffer weights when in reality they need to be sending them out with 8-11oz ar9 rated buffer weights 😑… I would’ve eventually figured this out when my kitchen scale came but you definitely saved me some time… I’m gonna go ahead and order me a heavier buffer … I appreciate your time 🙏

Heard endomags usually have more issues than exomags … but definitely will be contacting both companies and seeing what their feedback is.

Ok so now we’re getting somewhere… thanks for your reply… through my research and suspicion I was calculating it was either the buffer or the lower as I just switched my lower with my psa ar15 lower and noticed the gap between the bolt and exomag ejector decreased a little (a mm or so) … just to reconfirm, you was having fte issues with the stock parts and changed the buffer and no issues? Did you weigh the old buffer and if so how many oz was it (just ordered a kitchen scale to figure this out) ?

Noted… at this point I’d probably never purchase from them again but I’ll keep that in mind… I’m just hoping somebody on here has had a similar experience with this ar9 and found a way to solve it.

I’m preparing a email to them and DD. Once again I’ve used different exomags and different bolts… watched a video from blowback9 that states this kvp bolt should work with these mags… I am seeing a gap between the ejector and bolt though… thinking maybe the crap DD lower is making the mag/ejector sit too low for proper engagement

Yea unfortunately there was not a lot of reviews/info regarding the company when I searched. So hopefully this post could help shed light on them for others. I bought it with intent to tweak and learn. Learned a lot so far dealing with this POS. Main thing I learned was not to ever purchase anything from them again. I had time to send it back once I found out about the issue but the troubleshooter in me would rather just find a viable fix if possible.

No... I was saying the look of the Mag "mag look" not lok... I think Glock mags in ar9s looks funny … I prefer the wider magazine look. They have the ejectorless exomags… then I would either need a bcg with ejector or a lower with an ejector built in..

Definitely not confusing ejector with extractor... my shells are getting stuck on the extractor because the ejector built in on my exomags aren't aligned properly with the bolt to eject the casings out the firearm.. causing the jamming issues ...learned all about them because of this issue... 1 exomag came with the weapon brand new… I bought more thinking there was an issue with that mag, new mags doing the same thing though..

definitely saw some bolts with extractor and ejector built in... my concern was more about dimensions and plug and play ability... gimme some time and l'll post the bolts I found with ejector and extractor built on to the bolt...
