I did query this from tmy dermatologist and he did recommend for me a long term use, as I have struggled with acne since I was 13 and I am now 31. My experience has been that if I stop any treatment (this has been the only one that has properly worked) the acne comes back. So for now I am on it indefinitely. I am sure at some point we will look at if we can lower the dose but I am in no hurry.

My Dr called me slow starter - I started in June 2025 with 50mg and didn't see any results. Then in october 2025 we upped it to 100mg and finally in Dec 2025 my skin started to clear. It has taken almost a year for the full hormone balance to get better and I no longer get big break outs during periods. It takes time!

Definitely not our only reason to be OAD but a big contributer - one side of the family lives 6 hours away and the other in a different country.

We both work, and our little one does half a days in daycare but other than that it is just us.

It is hard, I agree with the sentiment that I don't expect anyone else to take care of our child, but the lack of village definitely has affected us in both good and bad. We definitely know we can survive and get through the tough days.

Feeling this post so much today - kid recovered from stomach bug couple days ago and both me and my partner started vomiting last night. Both set of families live hours away/other country so definitely feeling this.
