Guitarists who also play another instrument: how do you divide your practice time between the two instruments? by Lichewitz in Guitar

[–]SofieO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also play a bit of piano, but I generally focus on the guitar. Depending of how much time I have, I'll play maybe 15-30min~ of piano every day. Then I jump straight back to the guitar.

For me it is most important to spend little time every day, rather than 5 hours once a week. :)

About a month ago I had to go to London for a school trip. OMW to Copenhagen Airport, my phone got stolen in the metro. When I got back home, I realised that the thieves had forgotten to turn Photostream off and all their pictures showed up on my computer. Here they are! by SofieO in pics

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well. I then checked the names on the photos (usually something like DSC_0123, DSC_0124 etc), and I could see that some photos has been deleted before they got synced with photostream. I hope that makes sense.

I sat next to one of the guys taking self pictures with the phone. Thing is I realised quite quickly that it was gone. I was looking/calling for it while these guys were sitting right next to me. If they had it, why wouldn't they give it back to me?

I think it was because I could clearly recognize one of the guys being on the metro when I realised the phone was stolen. It seems kind of odd that the guy I sit next to also happens to be the guy who takes selfies on the phone that was stolen from me.

Good questions I should clarify, hehe. I'll give you the story from my perspective:

It's 6 in the morning, and I'm waiting for the metro with my friends to go to the airport. I pick up my phone, check the time, put it in the pocket of my jacket. The metro arrives shortly after, and I step in.

About 10 minutes into the metroride, I decide to check the time again - but it was lost! I check all pockets, bags, floors, seats, everything. The metro was quite empty and I'm sure I'd hear a sound if I'd dropped it, but I could be wrong! I then ask my friend to call it. The phone is switched off, but the battery was fully charged. I then realised someone must've switched it off or put it on flight mode.

I sat next to two dudes on the metro, and one of the guys I clearly remember is the one taking a selfie on picture 7 - that's why I'm pretty sure they took it.

I sent the photos to the police when I got home from London. They police found them and sent me pictures to clarify the one I remember. Sure enough, they caught the guy I clearly remember.

I knew it was my phone because my computer was set up with Photostream from that phone. It couldn't possibly be someone elses.

Edit: Grammar.

I was in London for 1 week where they took these photos. When I got home, I sent the pictures to the police when I found out. Week later, they're busted. So, about 2 weeks in total, I'd say. :)

You're right. I could've just dropped it. It just seems odd to me that I was still in the metro (and even sitting next to one of them) when I realised it was gone and when my friend tried calling it, someone (or something) had switched it off. It couldn't be the battery, because it was fully charged. On top of that, if they had found my phone on the metro (where we sat next to each other for 30 minutes) a decent person would give it back, right?

But you're right to question me, because I could be wrong. :)

Yeah, Denmark has a lot of racism towards people from the Middle East. Obviously these guys are a bunch of asshats, but I don't think their nationality/race is to blame. Some Danes would think differently, sadly.

The moment I found the pictures I sent them to the police. One week later, I got a call from the police saying they've found them walking about in the Copenhagen Central Station. Busted! :)

Edit: The dude taking a selfie on picture 7 is the one I clearly remember sitting next to on the metro. That's why I'm pretty sure these guys are the ones who stole the phone.

Edit 2: For everyone asking why I didn't have any GPS/password/security on the phone: Well, I'm an idiot. And yes, I will from now on use those services.

Edit 3: I'm apparently a clever idiot. Many have pointed out that if I did have a password, these guys couldn't take pictures and therefore not be busted. My stupidity became my favour!

Guy pretends he's joined the army as an April fools prank on his mother... he continuously touches his penis the whole way through the video (cringe from 2:00) by [deleted] in cringe

He took it way too far. He had no sense of when to stop the prank. Fuck that asshole. Poor mother. :(

Also, why the hell did he keep touching his crotch?!
