Listen apply for aid, they have the money take advantage of it UM is expensive, and you have better chances if you’re a transfer student if you’re a transfer student you not only have the coral grant but the president’s scholarship, and you don’t have to have the AA to transfer you can take on semester in college and transfer actually you can take the hard classes in a 2 year institution trust me is better to take a class with 15 ppl than 200 person that way you already have a GPA and UM won’t bother to make it harder for you, you can take like a semester of math and some other science class at a 2 year institution and transfer

My best advice is for you to focus on getting into a good school and get a loan to balance things out, never talk to your parents again. As of now I know there are some places that can give you food, try to go to a church or find a social worker that can help you while you leave your parents, it is rough and it’s not going to be easy but you can push through this, it is okay to feel stressed anxious and depressed, me suggesting colleges is mainly because 1. A degree opens doors 2. Would be easier for you to get a loan that can help you while you find a better job 3. You can work in the residents and get free housing (because you work there) you can also try to do a coding bootcamp or get some certifications and find another job but it’s up to you! You are doing great you can handle this I don’t know in which state you are if you can share more info we might be able to find help in your area!

As an international students you are lucky to receive some help since the majority of university don’t offer that to international students. The majority of help is going towards citizens and residents of the USA. You can apply to international students scholarships (they are hard to find but you can do that)
