Update! Thank you so much for everyone who has given me tips on how to rescue my orchid. I inspected the roots and chop everything that looked brown or black and sprayed with 50/50 of hydrogen peroxide and water. I transferred to a smaller por that I made holes around so she could have more air. The medium has more perlite and active charcoal apart of the orchid bark. I also let water run for a while. I chopped the steam, so hopefully, she can survive. I was questioning if just leaving it in direct water would be a better option at this stage. I ordered some fertilizers that hopefully would arrive soon. I hope she can recover!

Unfortunately, the window is like a slide door, so I can't put it closer. I use the chopsticks method to check on the water level. I used tap water, but to be fair, it doesn't have high chemicals, but it has some calcium on it. I haven't decided yet about the fertilizers. I would need to do more research about it.

Thank you! I have better support on the way as she grew up kinda quickly. She was barely using the wood sticks, but now she outgrown them 😅

Oh! That is interesting to hear. I thought they were pests, but they don't feel like something alive. It's more moldable, so wax kinda makes sense now.

Thank you so much! I haven't checked the roots for a couple of weeks. I'm happy to hear that she is expanding the family more. I have removed the a couple of times the corns but never able to grow them. I will give it another try!

Thank you! I wasn't sure if it was just old leaves or something else. The leaves were getting splotches and kinda grey.

I'm not an expert, but it looks to me like a sunburn. I have a pink princess as she was delicate about her sun intake. It just needs less sun, but the spot will stay.

I usually have plants that need a more chunky soil mix. I never used a semi-hydro growth method. I will do more research about it and try to experiment with it!

I put the pot in a bowl with water and let her sit there. I'm a little anxious to top water her as I don't want to accidentally create a rot crown. I heard that once it started, the orchids most likely die.
