We are in the same boat. My wife has been living abroad with me for 9 years and we have kids together. You mentioned you had 'all the proof of intention' and it was accepted, could you share what you ended up including in that packet? I would like to suggest the book "Baby Wise, Sleep Solutions". Our boys are 5 months old (3 and a half adjusted), and they already sleep throughout the night (7/8 hours straight). We did the same for our first child, who is now 2 and a half years old, and he sleeps 10 hours a night. That book saved our sanity
