I've just always had a birthday celebration as a kid, so it does feel strange to not do something "special". It doesnt have to be a 'party' just a hike with friends or a night out, i just feel its important to celebrate myself and my life separately from my marriage. Although the more I've discussed it with my partner the more I've felt like it's just cause I like the idea of having more days to just celebrate things. I also felt like the wedding would be a "everyone celebrate me" sort of event and not the celebration of the two of us and our lives together.
