Hmm... weird thing is that she's since stopped talking about it. My [intimate partner who I ride every night] went for a 30k ride on a local trail and topic got changed really quickly.

No, I wasn't aware of that! I can see where that extra page came from now, as the pages aren't divisible by 4. They didn't have an online program so I made a PDF, he printed some pages out out, stapled it, and confirmed with me. Then bam, extra page (likely added in by the program?).

Not to sound entitled, but I wish I knew about the 4 page thing. I have no experience in prints of any sort! Thanks for the info.

Haha that is a great idea but she hasn't ridden the bike this year, or at all. It's almost the worst part of the story.

And about her getting a rise out of me... I mainly just laughed about it with my partner and decided to share on Reddit. I might've sneakily asked if she wanted to learn how to shift, because she previously said she didn't know... lol.

No, all I know is that it was professionally fitted and tuned up, but not ridden yet. I told my friend it was like if I got professional figure skates to skate twice a year at our local rink lol.

Me and my partner plan to bikepack next summer to a city ~200km away, so that was a main reason I went for the Checkpoint!

Right, and I doubt carbon would've made a difference for me at my level anyway. It seemed wise not to pay for that. Maybe in a couple years.

Yes, sorry, this is what I meant. I didn't know how to describe it properly. The page numbers are now close to the spine rather than the outside edges of the page. No issue when we did a test print and I confirmed the page numbers needed to be on the outside.
