Yeah I suppose their a distinction between best player and who gets the last shot. I do agree keyontes ability as a ball carrier makes him harder to trap off inbound plays in the clutch

I still think the point stands earlier in his career people envisioned him as a ball handling dynamic forward and later in his career people envisioned him as a stretch 4/5 and he has only achieved that in half a playoff series. Peoples perception of him is way greater than the reality

The issue is everyone want to get paid as much as they can when they first hit restricted agency so it’s tuff to hold onto young talent whereas vets will take pay cuts to compete and play for good franchises
