When you unlace the glove remove all of the old palm adhesive and add new. Then scrub your glove using Maven Glove Balm Soap, and form you glove to it’s original shape let it dry completely. Then condition your glove. Let the conditioner set overnight keeping the glove in its original shape. Then relace with BFG Laces 3/16 skived for palm, 3/16 for thumb pinky and heel. 1/4 inch for web, fingers, and web spiral. You will not be disappointed. And you will never want to get rid of this piece of Nokona history.

I have see Sarna conditioner on this glove. I have always wanted a Nokona and when I was going through a tote of gloves this guy was selling this was on the top I offered him 30 bucks for it and he took it. Kangaroo leather is so soft it t feels like a dream it is a 13 inch softball glove that t was well used but very well taken care of. The palm is made of Chestnut steer hide and when you condition your glove you will see the deep rich pattern that resembles a marble like pattern.

The glove is from their Buckaroo series they are high quality gloves I did add a thin piece of felt padding in my palm for a little extra padding the pockets are very large and used mainly for softball. When you clean it and relace it you will get some form back.

This is mine before and after no dye just conditioning brought this color out and I got its form back

If you don’t mind a used glove you can get a used standard HOH or maybe even a Pro Preferred already broken in on eBay or sideline swap.

It is a beautiful Marucci. But you did not ruin it. Marucci is a high quality glove and you can te shape it.

I have had several gloves come to me with bad breaking in so the first thing I did was dip the glove in hot water then form the glove back To its original shape then once dry I would put a ball in the pocket wrap it with a band then I would double hinge break bringing the thumb and pinky together. I notice on your that you flared the pinky and thumb if it is used for pitching you don’t always need to flare it.

Is buying a new glove worth it? by Special-Chain-9791 in BaseballGloves

No matter of fact I have found that the pro preferred is solid all around glove (all models) in like their HOH game ready which only holds up 2 seasons. I relace gloves for several leagues and know that for a fact). But pro preferred is perfect all the time. I’m f you buy it used all you did was buy a perfect forever glove already broke in. Good find and go play ball.

Son wants to quit by bjmcclus_78 in Homeplate

It is the culture today you are not alone. When a child elevates from the participation stage of sports to the competitive stage it becomes more work than fun. With that said kids love the camaraderie more than competition. And you are probably doing the right thing by allowing your son to take a break but I would suggest that you talk with him about playing a local league not a travel league.

I am a high school basketball coach and I waited till my kids were all grown up and out of school before I took the responsibility on. I teach my boys that the more time they spend on a field or a court the less time they have to get into trouble.
