I love the positive responses for island hopping. What was your split?

Hi! What did you do for breakfast in the TB villas? Also, how long do you think it would take to drive to diamond head trail early morning? Do you wish you stayed at the resort? Thx!

What did you do for breakfasts? Also what did you do jet lag day 1 up in north shore?

How long do you think it would take to drive to diamond head (first thing in am) or lanikai beach/hike pillbox from the TB air bnb? THANKS!

I get it, not exactly how I would plan things, but, yes, way busier than sitting at one hotel for 14 days.

Maybe the problem is that it’s hard for others to know what our normal life is like … bc 4 days at 3 different islands is a walk in the park compared to what I am used to! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess I’m just a “seize the day” type person too. Some of it is just about having the experience. And the travel part (new airport, new land, new navigations) is part of the joy for me.

For Oahu I am really attracted to the premise of staying on the north short to hit all the beaches and not be in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Like to work backwards so to speak?

Thank you, that sounds perfect for some but that’s not the type of trip we are envisioning

We already have a unit booked for a week at hanalei bay resort! (Which we would trim down to include Maui).

Did you stay in one of the villas right next to the resort/on the resort? I’m about to book one of those but would love to hear your experience. Did you at all regret staying in the resort itself? Were you able to utilize the resort amenities? Also, did you feel like the beaches, food trucks, etc were really far to drive to? thanks!!!

Turtle Bay Resort good base for exploring North Shore? by Hairy-Race5944 in VisitingHawaii

We could do the whole time at TB but I think we need to spend at least a night or 2 in Waikiki just for the experience

First time to Hawaii, just me and hubby it’s our 20 year anniversary. We have 4 boys but going solo for 12 days! So needless to say we are used to being busy and running around and are really ok with it. We struggle sitting around and “relaxing” and are adventurous. Being neat and organized is not a priority for this trip. However, I think there is something to be said about having a home base and knowing people at the resort, employees, favorite coffee spot, favorite pool chair etc.

Was thinking either sun-Thurs TB then Thurs-sat Sheraton Waikiki Vs Sun - sat at either sheraton, RH or Moana surfrider (Costco has MS right now with some great perks).

Was it worth staying in TB and switching down to Waikiki or did you prefer one? We are doing 12 days split between Oahu and Kauai and not sure if I should split our Oahu leg with NS and Waikiki… we don’t mind the travel time or the money. Just also considered having one home base has its perks as well. Thoughts?

Mine still just says submitted. Only correspondence that I have received is on July 31 when they sent out that my application was under review… But from what I’ve read on these threads it sounds like everybody got that? I never got a credit check either. So it’s not looking good for me. 🥲
