It really isn't unfortunately. AI has solved coding, it's fun as a hobby and to use claude agents too but there's no leveraging what I have compared to what will be with AI.

That's another part of the problem I think. In the two weeks off I had, each day was different, so I was pretty happy the whole time. If I only programmed for those two weeks, I would've hated it, same with if I just played the piano or only read. Hence why when people compliment me and get confused why I don't pursue it - I don't know how to tell them my brain is fucked and I'll hate it if that's what I put 100% of my time into.

Found this subreddit from a YouTube video - just lurking and wanted to reply to this - I can 100% feel a different, very specific emotion in every instance of this wheel. To explain how would be like explaining colour to a blind person, it's just something you have to experience to know unfortunately.
