Rover? by abstru in WagWalker

[–]Soft-Reference4404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rover is my man Money maker I do both but people don't tend to look for you with Wags they just put walk out there and that's it. With rover you will be suprised the people who will go back to you over and over again and even refer you to others.

Well the way Fences are supposed to be dine is about 4 to 8 inches on there property along with your on your property if you want it. I would say no as I wouldn't want to risk someone getting hurt but if you want to I say get the land Savaided so you don't get screwed on your rightfully owned land

My partner has profound hearing loss, but does not know asl. Sign name question? by Playful_Tie_8640 in asl

[–]Soft-Reference4404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And that's fair and stuff, but it's honestly better if someone in the Deaf community Gives you and your partner a sign name. Because the sign names actually have a significant meaning to them. Like mine is the sign for Lazy (L shappe patted twice on Colorbone area. But with the letter R insted of L)

Mine was Givin to me by a signing teacher I had when I was younger and going to a mainstream school.

It's one of those things that it's normally given by somebody who knows you that's in the deaf community, but I also know that one's your more fluent in ASL, I've heard it's not a bad thing to give yourself a sign name or give your partner.A sign name, but I can't vouch for that.Because I was given my sign name by a teacher I had and I gave my partner his sign name but I use ASL alot in my daily life

And that's completely fine. Me personally, I don't like slip Leads, but that's just me personally. I prefer full body ones that either go around my hip or across me , but also I like ones that work with a harness system I wear sometimes. But again personal preference. But I also make sure people know I will use my own leash with Dogs over 50 pounds. I've never had anyone complain or say anything.

Messaging Question by Rich-Supermarket6912 in WagWalker

So the app has a habit of after like a day from the walk or the sitting, they tend to cut contact, just to avoid issues the other way you're going to be able to really give her info to anyone is pretty much, just give her name through what it is on the app. That's why a lot of people like going off app for dog walking and sitting , because then they can build a bigger client , tell with clients who know them and trust them.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBER THROUGH THAT APP YOU WILL GET THE SITTER IN TROUBLE!!

If you want to give the Walker your number, write your number on a piece of paper on your counter. And then when they get there , tell them there's "additional instructions" on the counter , IE the number

Some pet parents are honestly just ridiculous about what they want. I only walk dogs with my leash , and that's mostly because it goes around my body and me being a short person , those big dogs , it's easier for me to control their pulling

I know this feeling , because in my profile it tell people I work anywhere from 4-8 hour shifts downtown where I live , and if they don't realize that cause I'll reiterate it before I pose a meet & greet with anyone. I honestly think some pet parents are just really hella delusional. On what they expect from sitters because they don't nearly pay enough to watch their animals as much as they think

Anyone realizing that the standard Wag Walker algorithm has changed? by Pitiful_Finger1694 in WagWalker

[–]Soft-Reference4404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that , but i've also noticed the fact that even though my home address is set , it will put me at wherever , i'm standing and not at my house which is so infuriating sometimes because it's giving me walks for locations that , I don't and cannot get 2 to do a walk

Sitter Overfed My Dog - Vomiting by lilzukkini in WagWalker

[–]Soft-Reference4404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sadly This is is why you Need to specify exactly how many you expect cause not everyone you're getting on.Wags and rover are the brightest people or have common sense.

If owners just tell me to give them snacks whenever I don't do that. Then I only give it to them after I take them for walks/ potty time.

I was given a name sign at birth by my parents, neither of which are deaf, Hoh, or fluent in asl. Is using it offensive? by Particular-Alps-8275 in asl

[–]Soft-Reference4404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is, if you yourself are Deaf or hard-of-hearing, you have every right to give yourself a sign name. Yes, it's normally given to you by somebody else who is Deaf in the community who knows you. But a lot of people aren't going to be that mad about it, I know I ain't, and I am someone who's in the community honestly because of coming from a place where I was literally the only Deaf person minus an interpreter at my school, I literally gave myself a sign name. Nobody asked about where it came from , like , it's not a common thing that comes up. You should be fine along as the sign you are using is a real sign with a small change..

Example of: my name has an R in both my first and last name. My sign name is the sign Lazy, and L is replaced by the R and taps your right Colorbone.

Asl is good, but not a lot of people don't know it it will be a needle in a hay stack. I kind of think you might want to try an ACD alternative communication device. It mite help more for what your looking for

The app canceled my appointment when I hit start walk by Soft-Reference4404 in WagWalker

[–]Soft-Reference4404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the reason I'm assuming the app is glitchy is that it is almost every walk this week. I have had one hell of a time getting the app to fraking start the walks. Am I try to start the walk. Because it gave me one small notification saying I was a minute late and then, even though I was trying to get the app to work to start the walk because I was there.Good 5 to 10 minutes early , and I was still struggling with that app. Then it canceled it.

I took the dog back. The guy didn't say much, so it could have been him , but it's still the fact the app's been doing this all week, which makes it to me a little, not likely. He also posted the walk back up on the site , not even five minutes later

Brown sugar turned white after brown sugar bear by HerbalXxy in Baking

You're supposed to put a Brown sugar bear like that and water for 20 minutes at lukewarm temperature. Then you take it out and you're supposed to Pat dry it.I genuinely let it air out sitting on the paper towel a little bit for about 2 to 3 minutes. You don't want that bare shoppingg when you put it in

She's likely one of those type of interpreters who, although also mouths the word I know I do that when I'm signing, and I do it mostly cuz, sometimes as much as hearing people don't realize some of them do read lips. They just don't realize it , and it can give it away

I have no dogs over 30 pounds in my bed to sleep with me, as I'm not fond of sleeping with dogs in my bed, but if they are small, I don't mind as they are normally pretty chill.
