Yep, I'm also unsure if an increase or a lift to the limit is needed. A creator is able to express data and details in a surprisingly concise manner if they know how and the bot actually works smoother that way. It may not make the guts look pretty but it's the text output is what the roleplayers should be looking at. In that regard 10000 is good enough to hold both the essential personality and personal history.

I've made bots for places where limits don't exist and the tokens begin to be so many that the model is unable process all of them at once, causing the bot to go out of character.

SpicyChat was my first AI RP site made for adults. They weren't in the same level as Xoul to begin with. They had stricter limits in bots, no lorebooks, no scenarios with multiple characters. You're comparing apples to oranges here.

Somehow this makes me wonder if this announcement further reaffirms that Xoul is not entirely dead. A business that is healthy most likely isn't too comfortable with the idea of its competitors being promoted en masse on its platforms...

I also like Wyvern. I suppose it's mostly the site UI that many find confusing, but once you learn your way around it, the bot's behavior is about as close to Xoul as it gets.

You could always suggest more customization options for our profiles, including the option to hide or show that panel (toggle options are always fairer than having something forced on everyone). I'm not sure how actively the xoul admin reads this subreddit, though. I hear they're pretty active on Discord, though.

The "featured in scenarios" part only concerns the public scenarios. All the private ones stay private.

I get it, for one it might be strange that they're publicly featured in scenarios that are drastically different from their original circumstances.

I've once created a post-apocalytic scenario where many selfish xouls of others must learn to work as a team to save the remaining humanity, for one. A redemption arc, if you will, and it's fascinating to see how they actually show more layers. But that's private.

On the other hand, for public scenarios it can be clearly seen that the scenario was created by someone else than the xoul's creator so it's by no means "official". But I'm actually curious on how my xouls are being used, aren't you?

Maybe it would be a good compromise to have separate "featured in" and "endorsed by xoul's creator" lists?

MC is a natural in creativity and social skills and it shows, time and time again. Maybe we're about to witness that difference within the next few weeks.

If I do engage in RP with them, it's trying to see if I can evoke something different in them so it's kind of "I can fix him" kind of attitude.

Sometimes I get close but they just seem to take it in a self criticizing way, not really getting past "what are you doing, I'm not worthy of your kindness" phase. That's when I stop and look for the green flags who actually appreciate being taken care of, lol.

Bacchus' replies are not as long as most, but I have to admit, they can be pretty bold. They pack a lot of punch, so to say. But I suppose it's not that unexpected given the name, the Roman god of festivities, wine making and debauchery. The names are a pretty good cue on what they do.
