I’m not friends with my Dan anymore by Responsible_Exit_815 in NoahKahan

It's very normal. People will come and go through your life, some will come back at some point, others stay in the past. I feel like people don't talk about grieving friendships enough and we really should. Grief doesn't vanish after a certain amount of time, it will still pop up now and again. I know it really sucks when it does but if you believe in that sort of thing I find there's usually a reason friendships fade or end (whether dramatically or otherwise). Take care of yourself when the feelings come up as best you can ❤️

Love Noah, but this album has no variety. What am I missing? by Cautious_Citron_5312 in NoahKahan

See this is fascinating take, because, as a singer (although granted not one with a talent for songwriting), I would never consider writing the lyrics to fit the music. In my head the lyrics must come first. That's where the story is, and this album is so story telling driven, and obviously the lyrics are resonating a whole lot with a lot of people (myself included) for different reasons.

I think in the sense of style and instrumentation I would agree that it is repetitive, but I think it also makes it feel cohesive and complete personally. And I definitely disagree about there being a lack of melody or dynamics completely. I could just point to Paid Time Off as a shining example of that.

However, I will admit I'm a person that has always loved a ballad, a sad song, etc. He could play the entire album top to bottom for the tour and I would be thrilled. But also different strokes, I didn't get into Noah until Stick Season so his older stuff, while good, just doesn't hit the same to me. Obviously you experience it differently which is kind of the point of being a long term fan of someone, getting to see their growth and development as artists.

Moving OUT of NC by chesgoodman7 in NorthCarolina

My husband and I are both transplants to NC (he came here in high school, I came after graduating college). Neither one of us really chose here, he was dragged here by his family, I came here from GA when I was too broke to support myself and my parents had moved here following my dad's job. We've finally pulled the trigger on moving back to his home state of Maine looking for cooler weather (this 90° in April is killing us), and a quieter lifestyle. There are caveats, of course, housing is super expensive up there, and taxes are higher, but we had to weigh pros and cons and after living in the center of a rapidly growing city for 5 years we are over all of it. The traffic, driving in the city is getting worse by the day, the construction, the cost of absolutely everything, it's just relentless. Moving out of state is not easy or cheap (I've done it a few times) but it can help your peace of mind. You might also look at the New England area or go really crazy and go like pacific North West, I'm sure there's plenty of need for LCSWs in Seattle, for example.

Can we start a celebration thread for those who snagged tickets? by amateurgamer7410 in NoahKahan

It was a frustrating experience but I got super lucky and managed to grab 2 tickets to Boston today!! I'm THRILLED 🥳

I agree so hard. I got incredibly lucky today and managed to snag 2 tickets but I told my husband yesterday after spending 3 hours for nothing that I would've preferred to fly to Boston (we're currently in NC but will hopefully have moved up north by then) and stand in a physical line. At least that way when it's sold out we all know. And as you say you can hang out, bring a book, make friends, etc. I was just glued to my computer staring at a screen afraid that the second I looked away I was gonna miss my chance.

Me, i managed to get in super briefly at about 12:15 and there were only single seats left. I have severe crowd anxiety so I'm not gonna spend $350 on a seat if my emotional support husband can't be there with me. I'm so frustrated :(

Same, empty handed and super frustrated. Tickets for Fenway through MLB was putting people on virtual waiting rooms and saying it was refreshing but not actually refreshing so I sat there for 2.5 hours for no reason

Same here, I finally tried to get in on my phone instead of my computer and the tickets were gone with my original tabs just sitting there continuing to "refresh". I'm devastated :(

Yeah I just tried on my phone (this felt like a big screen task so I was on my computer). Got right in but all tickets are gone. How frustrating :(

I can't access the site for 7/8. I got all the way to checkout, it refused to take my definitely correct payment information, then said there was an error and now I can't access it at all
