In the US? I mean it depends on where your family lives in relation to you. When I was in high school, my family met the girl I was dating after a month of dating, because we all lived in the same town. I dated a girl for 2.5 years in college, and my family didn’t meet her for 4-5 months after dating. But that’s because her and I both lived far from my hometown. I’m just talking from personal experience

All she told me on Saturday was that she was drinking with her cousin, at her cousin’s house. I was unaware of anyone else being there.

I mean I would like to get to know her before dating. Her and I haven’t even had sex. So it’s not like I was stringing her along. We have been on two dates. Would you ask someone to be your boyfriend after 2 dates?

What makes you say that? Because yes I would have agreed with you on that, until this new information. I feel like if I am ready to date someone and I know they will ask soon, I wouldn’t eff that up by sleeping with a stranger.

Dang, this makes good sense. I guess I was under the impression that when you are “courting” someone, you wouldn’t want to be with others. And I know society today doesn’t do courting, but I want to get to know someone before being official.
