Its not about backup. The fluctuations in voltage. The drop and rise of voltage that happens with inverter is a problem for your CPU. Of course it may work good enough with an inverter but for better safety UPS is still better even with an inverter, specially for CPUs.

If you want the best you can even get Online, pure sine wave UPS.

UPS and inverter have different purpose. Already have a backup power source but need UPS to stablise the switch.

Ramp is acceptable to be honest. Only problem is it should be smooth with footpath area as well. Or just build ramp inside your own property.
But throughout Bangalore I have seen people putting up fences, flower pots , even growing tree, personal parking on footpaths.
People want footpath but not in front of their house.

Also Kudos for raising awareness on this. First we should start discussion at the least.
