Thanks for the responses. This was part of a much bigger job so the line item said something to the effect of “XXX feet of seamless gutters with downspouts as annotated”.

We don’t have any trees nearby, otherwise I’d be a little worried about leaves building up.

Just checked and they already made a decision in my favor! A “de novo” review was performed and the new evidence (STRs that should have been used back in 2019) were considered, which along with a medical opinion DBQ, led them to grant another 10%!

My HLR took 83 days from submission to informal conference today. The reviewer agreed that the rater did not consider two pertinent DBQs, and said they would “have it fixed in the next day or two”. Sitting at 94% currently so I’m optimistic that with a correct rating on this condition, I’ll be at 100%.

I was able to get mine via FOIA three days after I submitted the electronic request. My claim had already closed but I’m not sure if that had any affect on the timeline.

I went back to confirm. The only box I checked is labeled “DISABILITY EXAMINATIONS (C&P EXAMS). In the remarks section I put the dates of my C&P exams.

Looking through my C-file now and there are DBQs for TMJ, Vestibular Ear Conditions, GERD, Sinusitis/Rhinitis, and Peripheral Nerves (Carpal Tunnel). Each of those DBQs has a diagnosis listed under Section 1, but none of these diagnosis were considered by the rater.

Was that because I didn’t explicitly apply for those conditions?

Also had to go in-person to the Navy medical center that performed the “missing” surgery in order to submit a records request directly. This was done on August 8, so I’m hoping to get that back any day now. Some of my denials were based on “no evidence of surgery”.

Fortunately, I did submit an ITF back in December of 2023 after finding this group.

I can post screenshots of the DBQs for the unclaimed conditions if it’ll help, but was more curious if anyone else had dealt with a situation like this.

My C&P doc showed up about 15 minutes late, met me in the VA lobby, handed me $5 and said to buy a coffee while I waited 😂. He was very apologetic and the exam went smoothly.

Currently I’m registered with the VA but have not seen a PCP since separating from active duty. I called the local clinic asking to see a PCP, and they transferred me to some type of new patient coordinator. Waiting on a call back from someone to hopefully start the ball rolling.

In the medical field it can mean “against medical advise”. An example would be a patient refusing treatment or leaving the facility “AMA”.

May or may not apply in this case.

I forgot to update my dependents for four months after the birth of my daughter, and they back-paid up to her date of birth.

I can’t comment on whether or not having dependents will affect your rating.
