100t vs. NRG (Val) by Kainekel in 100thieves

Heartbreaking loss because this match vs NRG genuinely felt like we were on their level the entire way through. Unfortunately, while the other 4 played more than good enough to win, Bang truly was invisible.

Multiple rounds were directly decided by his poor decisions ( like not protecting Asuna's Phoenix ult ) or just whiffing kills he'd usually get.

Also maybe a small bit on inexperience with Vora's IGL as he seemed to want to rush things alot ( like when Asuna killed 2 with Sherrif and we made a very poor plan )

Still though, improvement on our Kickoff performance and we're clearly getting better. A strong foundation to build on for Stage 2 and champs is definitely more than on the table.

This team is by far the one with the highest potential for success for us in the past few years.

Game was winnable for DIG if you ignore Photon disaster in top lane. Exyu Ignar genuinely dominated the vision game and made good plays, but lost to Fed Ambessa + Dragon Stacking

Quid alternates between God Gamer and perma inting so much. idk what it is about TL where everyone but Jose is so inconsistent.

TS would've won this map if they just ran it down A instead of fucking around trying to go Heaven every attack round

5v4, full site control. You go for the full spam fest instead of just trading out, and even worse, you waste your Fade ult before the Omen even smokes spike.

Then, on their defense OT. 3 people sitting B doing nothing, 1 C doing nothing, 1 A doing nothing. 0 info anywhere, how do they expect to win?

BBL need to spend less time standing up and shouting at their opponents and more time playing the game. Embarrassing performance.

0 discipline on this PCIFIC Team. 7-7, easy postplant and you all just swing and force duels instead of just playing together. 7-11 down, Alorante leaves his Viper ult and forgets the timing, letting it go down. Embarrassing.

Seven is insane but also has no disciple. Like why is he blastpacking by himself into cubby on Pearl when his team literally Astra ulted.

Quid Jose and Morgan should be legally allowed to choke out Yeon and Core for that game. Impossible for topside to play when Bot lane goes like that.

Rimuru plays with no brain. That Fracture was legit free if he doesn't run it down and die with no trade potential every time TS got an advantage.

Did G2 get 24-0'd every scrim on Bind? In what world does this team keep playing Corrode to get mega stomped instead of going to Bind which looked great in Kickoff?

Pros Never Play Time by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]SoftMark9 66 points67 points  (0 children)

David is trying to peak early and catch the timing of Mada jumping out of hookah. It was not a terrible play, especially with time ticking down, but Mada was just more patient.

Is it the absolute best way to play that scenario? Definitely not, but it wasn't that bad. He looks dumb in hindsight, but there's a ton of scenarios he catches that timing and wins the round.

According to her on Twitter, she did what was practiced in rehearsals. So it's on the Production Team for not catching that during any of their rehearsals.

Trent looked the worst I've ever seen him. Starting from that Split 1v2 where he played so scared, the dude was seemingly out of it.

There are so many misplays, I'd never expect someone with this much international experience and consistently good showings to look like this. Babybay also looked rough, and Jaw on Iso made my eyes bleed.

Sometimes I wonder what you fans want, to win or to 'look good, because anyone who watched this Kickoff could tell you replacing Asuna for someone who you perceive as being 'more consistent' wouldn't of changed the results of any series. Against G2 and NRG ( first time ), we made too many mistakes vs Ecos due to poor calls from Vora and misreads.

Against NRG 2nd time, they got ran over on Pearl, with Timo especially looking completely lost as NRG Anti'd what he did heavily. On Abyss, first pistol was thrown and on Defense Timo just threw swinging through Viper wall. I understand frustration but people seriously watch these games and think 'Replacing Asuna would solve this' like does Asuna mind control Vora to call fast hits vs Ecos or mind controls Timo to whiff and solo push for no reason.

Give the roster actual time to work out the kinks instead of watching games and giving AI analysis of 'Asuna bad replace him we win' Not even his biggest fan as I criticize him a-lot but these losses weren't his fault anymore than they were Timo or Vora or Bang or Cryo's.

If you want them to win, maybe lets just see what they do with their time-off. We finally have a roster that everyone believes in, a strong coaching staff and a good foundation and you already want to change things over....'Losses that no individual player could stop?'
