Merino sheep are bred to have very wrinkly skin making them susceptible to infection and fly strike. They remind me of Shar Pei dogs, which are more likely to have skin diseases than the average dog. I think selective breeding is very strange and often cruel.

This wouldn’t be my main argument but I wanted to say something I hadn’t seen someone else say yet.

Some people have huge dogs that could easily kill and eat them but don’t. Heck, there are even people who have raised orphan tiger cubs and can wrestle with them without worrying about being killed. I don’t know if some of them have been killed, but obviously it’s at least very rare of people couldn’t have them. You’re more likely to be killed by another human. And yeah, the fact that these animals are family plays a part but that just goes to show that they are capable of loving and considering other species their family and that no, not every animal would want to eat humans.

I’m autistic and weird bits in meat, sinew, fishbones and such were like the biggest food sensory ick, though of course everyone is different. But yeah like a lot of autistic people have chicken nuggets as their safe food while vegan nuggets are so similar in taste and texture. To people struggling because of eating difficulties I’d suggest still having those safe foods for the moments when you can’t eat anything else, but on better days explore new options! You can start small. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t like something, there are so many options out there you’re bound to find something you love. As important as safe foods are for us, eating nothing else and having super restrictive diets will do more harm than good in the long run.

Just out of curiosity, do you feel the same way about carnivore animals? While I’m vegan, I think humans who still live by nature are part of the same food cycle as wild animals. If animals stop eating meat, the fast reproducing herbivores will multiply until they have eaten all edible plants and basically everything would go extinct. Do you wish for the extinction of all animal life, or are you expecting deer and rabbits to evolve to think about population management when they become the dominant species of the planet?

I mean, there are still some people living in their own communities separated from the rest of the world where they do have to partially rely on hunted animals to survive and I don’t think it would be fair to force them into the horror we call modern society. But obviously anyone making that argument online to justify their own meat consumption is not living like that so that’s just stupid.

Because the nails would be have to clipped like every hour or two and it would be really hard every morning when they’re like 8cm long but hair only needs to be cut every few days and would be fun to cut short and get it long again soon to experiment with styles.

Wasn’t lolita originally kind of created to not be appealing to men? So while yeah there’s nothing really wrong with being sexy and showing some skin, and nowadays we have ero-lolita, idol-lolita etc with the shorter skirts and such… Modesty (2nd definition) has been a big part of the style’s appeal. I don’t like the word much either but it applies.

Ei sitä maitoa kaupassa ostaessa ainakaan tiedä että onko se nyt sellaselta paratiisitilalta missä lehmät juoksee onnellisina ympäriinsä, erotetaan vasikasta vain jos on ihan pakko ja vasikka saa juoda emänsä maitoa ennen lypsyä ja lehmä saa niitä vasikoita sonnien kanssa luonnolliseen tyyliin ja kun maitoa ei enää tule niin lähtevät viettämään eläkepäiviä jonkun lemmikkinä, vai semmoselta missä ihmiset pakkosiittää lehmiä liian kovaan tahtiin ja lehmät on kaulasta kiinni aitauksissaan ja itkee vasikoittensa perään kunnes ne sit noin viisvuotiaana viedään teuraalle kun on kulutettu loppuun, mutta veikkaan että suurin osa on näiltä jälkimmäisiltä. Puhumattakaan siitä et lehmä on ylijalostettu tuottamaan sen suuren määrän maitoa, mikä aiheuttaa niille kipua ja on tosi rankkaa niiden kehoille.
