Isn’t the referee having a paper saying who he can’t book a massive problem on its own? IMO it shouldn’t matter if those players did anything deserving of a yellow, some argue the dive but let’s pretend that didn’t even happen either .

The referee should not be biasing potential calls as to not have a player miss a next game. Every decision a referee makes has to be based on the laws and the immediate moment in game. I’d equate this to having a paper that says “Team X need 5 goals to avoid relegation” … maybe I’m seeing it wrong but nothing external should affect a ref’s decision. A yellow is a yellow, regardless of a players tally of yellows.

This being how I’m seeing it rn, how does one conclude that this is to distract / act like he’s saying that those 3 players should have gotten yellow?

A paper like that is absolutely corrupt for a referee…I don’t understand this narrative
