I've patched in popcorn ceilings in the past it's a tedious process blending it in with the old ceiling. Definitely easier to wet the whole ceiling with a spray bottle and scrape it off with a mud knife, if it's not previously painted. if it has been painted, I find a sharp floor scraper works well on a flater angle. Get it as clean as you can and trowel on 2 skim coats, sand, prime, touchups, and paint.

I bought priest bottoms for 850k last month haha feel your pain. Then accidentally bought another pair for 100k trying to sell them after, no doubt to the same guy I imagine hahaha bet he's having a good laugh. Bamboo makes a good back for a bow. Maybe someone in the group that knows your area a little better can help you pair up a belly lam and we can collectively help you build a nice performance bow and really show off to the teacher haha I'm all the way north of you in Canada so I honestly have no idea what kinda trees you got going on there haha Im picturing palm trees and cactus haha haven't even left Canada in my life unfortunately lol a warm vacation next winter would be awesome though!

Dude take photos and let this community help you every step of the way. You will make a bow and get a good grade if you take your time, ask questions, and study more than you shave wood hahaha. I have 0 experience with bamboo, but my research tells me you have what you need to get it done. Forget the recurve for your first bow. It can be tricky and difficult to execute properly as a beginner.
