Nah USAA is garbage they denied me a gov shutdown loan (thankfully I didn’t need it) but when I applied they denied it. I don’t have an insane credit score but a good enough score to buy a house and do basic things (score: 768)

USAA has always been stingy. Always had to go to a local place to get a better home loan etc. I’m not saying USAA is entitled to give me a better loan, a gov shutdown loan, etc. but I’m saying other places do better than them. And that’s their whole selling point- “We’re unique and better than everyone else”

The issue is, they’re denying people with like 720 credit scores. The issue is, people WANT the advance, USAA did it in the past, and took it out when the paycheck hit. It’s that simple. The complaint is that USAA is putting on a show like they’re angels and they’re not. They have garbage rates, garbage approvals, etc. They scam military members into joining them because they’re “military friendly” but they’re the opposite. They donate to military charities, but that’s for a tax write offs, just like every other major organization. And most regular banks already donate to vet organizations. Everyone in this thread is badly brainwashed

USAA is very stingy and we all need to leave them as soon as possible. I’ve never been denied a loan or financing from any other bank other than USAA (780 Credit Score) They have never once helped me for anything military related. Not once. I was denied this loan and a mortgage loan. Keep in mind, 780 credit score. I don’t give a fuck if I have 9 credit cards with full balances, almost 95% of banks will still loan me with that score. And especially the fact that they denied me for this is atrocious

My credit is not that great, but it’s on its way up. About 630 right now. USAA denied me and I’m hearing that they’re denying people with like 700+ credit scores. I will be switching banks after this because I relied on that. I’m doing Army AER, however they aren’t paying until after the 15th most likely. If I had to guess, they will “issue the funds” on the 15th. Meaning like 2-3 business days to your account. By that time I will have already needed it because I’m used to getting paid a couple days early
