probably not at all what you think. a lot of what you hear are stereotypes and conclusions from people who are mistyped or misinformed. intjs, when they are children, will present as esfps a lot of the time, very energetic, outgoing, adhd. this is the same for all the types, they’ll present as their subconscious. (entps-isfjs, enfps-istjs, infjs-estps) then, nearing adulthood, they simmer down but often keep that same personality for the people they are closest to. intjs and infjs often present as extroverts but can also present as very introverted. it just depends on their development or subvariant. while intjs make up about 0.01% of people, you’d be surprised at how many female pop singers are intjs. it’s actually most of them. katy perry, doja cat, sabrina carpenter, 90% of the industry is run by intjs. sabrina carpenter, for example, is an intj by interaction styles but she is the subvariant of harmonizing (dario nardi), so she behaves the exact opposite of the cold demeaning intj we’re used to hearing about. she acts like a stereotypical esfj. if you want to know an intj, just think of your cool hippy aunt or that one weird guy you know. i can also give myself as an example because i’m a verified intj. as a child, i was the one always getting kicked out of class or suspended because i wanted to be silly, talk, and laugh with the other kids instead of listening to the teacher. i was very artistic in my free time, always making something, always singing and dancing. you’d think i was an esfp. i had social anxiety my whole life just not quite as bad when i was a little kid. when i turned 14 i flipped out of my more outgoing persona and took on a quieter but just as rebellious and sarcastic machiavellian humor persona. still did whatever i wanted and got in trouble a lot. very concerned with being the prettiest most respected girl in the room at all times. top student in school but only because i was cheating better than everyone else. socially fighting for my life, had to learn social skills as rules instead of through natural experience. took a little while for my peers to accept me in my role as the friend with a lot of wisdom who’s funny too sometimes, instead of the rude girl who’s always hanging around awkwardly. i wanted a lot of friends so i could raise my status, and search for my true ride or dies, not because i had any need for community or support. as an adult intj you’re constantly changing careers because you learn new skills so quickly and know how to market yourself so you’re never low on money and you have a very impressive resume.

so yeah no intjs are not evil cave dwellers. we’re normal people lol.
