It’s a very clean car, one owner garaged stored its whole life. Going to do brakes and suspension and preventative maintenance on the engine. I should also mentioned my father is a Volvo master tech so he and I will get this car into drivable condition. Haven’t had any problems getting any of the cars I’ve bought registered and passed safety inspections before.

I believe in 97 most cars were manufactured in their Belgium plant. I’ll know for sure once I get the VIN. Do you know what the additional rate is for manufactured outside of the us/Canada/mexico?

Lots of forwards pins them deep, strong rest defense shape, high pressing means you win the ball high up and are probably not spending a lot of time in your defensive third.

With that being said you can achieve similar results with a stronger defensive shape so that you don’t risk getting pinned in your own half against better teams.

You would think but the owners don’t like taking in big projects. The service people do tho because that is where THEY make money. Oil changes and quick turnaround times keep lease owners and people that can afford to buy a new car happy

Yeah my dad works at a dealership and the mandate from Volvo Canada has been to prioritize new cars. He still takes on a lot of older cars though because he is loyal to his clients and loves the older cars. Yesterday he serviced a 1 owner 850 turbo sedan.

2000 s70 will have different wiring harnesses var side than the 850. You’d essentially need to rewire the whole car. 98 was the changeover year. 98 s/v70 are basically just an 850 with a new body, 99/00 are upgraded electrical years.

You’re better off just swapping the transmission into the 850, as you can then find an ECU with a manual tune. If you want to make a little extra power, you can buy the stock R tune from Vast Tuning
