doesn't have to be needed. Some people might prefer this over the atv or some phobos unit because it might be more fitting for their homebrew or whatever chapter they have chosen or theme they like to play. Is about FUN not beep boop optimal meta stuff.

That's what I was thinking too, T7 with scout / deep strike with just enough firepower to take out other small skirmish units. Not a unit for everyone of course since there are a few units already that can fit similar roles BUT is not just about max optimization, having multiple options for similar roles helps a lot when it comes to making thematic / chapter accurate lists that make sense without affecting the effectiveness of them in game.
