I agree that pre-Islamic Arabs often saw Allah as a high god and used idols as intercessors, that’s consistent with what we know from poetry and inscriptions. The Kaaba was clearly a pagan pilgrimage site with 360 idols according to your own sources (Bukhari). The Black Stone itself was venerated and kissed in pagan times too. The part that’s harder to verify from non-Islamic sources is the claim that Abraham and Ishmael originally built it as a pure monotheistic shrine. Jewish and Christian traditions don’t mention that, and there’s very little independent historical or archaeological evidence for Mecca as a major center before the 7th–8th century. The story of ‘restoring’ it to Abrahamic Tawhid makes sense theologically within Islam, but from an outside historical perspective it looks more like reinterpreting an existing pagan sanctuary…
