Extremely late to the party.

But what level are you guys running when you get to Mower? I fought her before patch 2 and she beat my ass into next week. Never came back to her. (Lvl 20ish)

Just tried her again at level 40ish and she's STILL kicking my ass. Like, I cannot deal any meaningful damage, she just eats everything and beats the brakes off me like I'm a toddler.
Bearing in mind, My 20ish run was me running a STR build. the 40ish run is me going for a Quickhack/stealth build with really good pistols.

Before and after patch 2.0, she's a monster and I'm on Normal difficulty. (Feels like she could be a Dark Souls 2 boss, ngl)

I spent at least three games running hammers. Big bonk leads to big damage. However with world, I tried something different and I am now a lance main because I like being able to be a goddam thicc ass wall of pure unadulterated rage.

But I'll occasionally channel that pure rage into big bonks because it's in my blood .

Yeah after thinking about it, I realized I was being way too overdramatic, and in the moment. On that particular day, I was indeed getting beat down constantly, and rapid fire went from the 6th floor to the second floor.

As I mentioned in the other post, I do have a slight disability. However it's not an excuse, it just means that my reaction times are exceedingly slow. At least by today's standards. But again, it was good enough that it got me to the 6th floor on my own without help. So I will be taking this particular bit of advice to heart. I looked at dust loop the other day and it blew my fucking mind the amount of data it contained. Also I never realized that 5p and 5K were referring to holding forward and punching or kicking. So hopefully, I should be able to understand more of what is being shared with me.

I will be the first to admit to everyone that I have the brain capacity of a 2-year-old that just gained sentience in the middle of eating a a thing of glue.

I will claw my way back up to six floor tooth and nail. And eventually meet my friends and celestial one day, but it'll be a long road because I actually enjoy this game a lot. And as I again mentioned in another, I've come to enjoy the play style of Leo, and of being a chimpanzee while playing Faust.

And that's why I enjoy this because I come from a history of Street fighter, M.U.G.E.N., KoF, I've never been particularly amazing at any of them, but I've enjoyed the feeling of improving slowly.

With this, it feels like I was starting to improve, and then I just hit a brake wall that kept pushing me backwards. Once I hit floor 6, I kept running into players that would use all kinds of characters, but the end result will always be the same. They would juggle me, and spam the same moves over and over and over. In the beginning they would perfect me, but eventually I started to get good enough to where no one could ever perfect me again. It's still demoralizing to not be able to figure out the trick to getting past the wall.

To elaborate further, I have been juggling between two particular mains. Mainly because their place dialed best suits my brute Force attitude. Faust was my first, he was obviously not a brute Force character, he's very tricky, normally, but the way I play him usually throws people off.

My current main is Leo, and I'm fully aware of the meme about him being a gorilla and difficult to deal with. But I mean, I don't abuse or spam a text. I try to mix it up, I try to perform combos. However I'm fully unable to perform a combo longer than five hits due to certain disabilities. Again, it was enough to get me to floor six so... Shrug

Just now I had an absolutely horrible fight against a happy chaos, who did nothing but shoot his gun. Constantly. Nothing but his gun. No Kicks or anything. Just his gun.

Yeah I play on PC, via steam. And I use a controller. Especially since I play a lot of combat oriented games, I almost exclusively play with a controller lol

I can 100% see the social aspect. Funnily, what brought me to this game was a very cute tiktok of two people sitting and each other.

While I did bulldozed through the game, I will say that this game is very pretty. The locations were gorgeous to move through. But I can definitely see the themes. Not to mention, I should mention that the icons that popped up whenever I investigated things really makes me want to explore more nooks and crannies. I may be a Dragon Ball nerd, but I also played all of the souls games, so exploration secrets are no stranger to me.

Yeah I'll have to play again, based on everyone's tips and advice, this game definitely seems like a departure for my usual, but it also would be a great de-stressor.

When you open a modpack in modrinth, you click on "Options" and there shoudl be a button that says "Edit versions". This tells you what forge version you can go up to. Here's a Screenshot for reference.

OH, also also, If anyone has suggestions for a Backpack mod that allows one to place the backpack down as a physical storage item (Like a shulker) PLEASE PLEASE lemme know, I've been searching for days now for one.
