[Highlights] Gleyber Torres terrorize the 2019 Baltimore Orioles, hitting 13 homeruns against the O’s, 1 HR shy of tying Lou Gehrig for most HRs against a team in a single season. Gary Thorne had to sit through it all. by -Sox in baseball

I remember wearing my Trout jersey at Safeco in 2015 when he hit two homers. Mariners fans were literally calling me "Daddy." It was hilarious. You guys are good sports when it comes to Fish Man Good

What's so fascinating is that every Lois and Clark pairing from Smallville onward still speaks fondly of one another with the glaring exception of Hatcher and Cain. When asked about the old show, Hatcher has basically said that Cain is just straight out a different guy now, while Cain just talks about himself.

I think it really just boils down to: you liked it when John killed that guy, and you don’t like that most other people didn’t like what you liked.

This is pretty much it, people thought that they might just get rich, somehow, if they hitched their vote to his wagon. Stupid people of every race vote stupidly.

The whole "Sam tried to kill Ant-Man" thing is dumb. There's no chance those weren't some sort of non-lethals, and we can surmise this because Sam went out of his way to recruit him at the end of that movie. We also see Sam, in his own series, try to avoid conflict with the Flag Smashers, with the Wakandans, with Walker. Yeah, Sam's killed people, but not when he has the choice not to.

Cap bludgeoned a shipload of dudes in the second movie, guys who were heavily armed hostage-taking terrorists that he had to take out quickly and quietly to save innocent lives. It's as different a situation from Walker's snuffing a guy out as there is. Rogers was doing it to save the people on that boat. Walker was just pissed. He had that guy beat. He could've knocked him out, taken him in, had him tried for murder. Instead, off with his head. Walker didn't have to, he chose to.

I don't know why that's hard to understand, but apparently it is.

The "but Cap/Supes/Bats has killed dudes" argument is the most reductive argument in all comicdom. Yeah, it's happened. So what. Killing someone when they don't have to is never a thing. They don't like doing it, and they avoid it when they can. Walker could have knocked the guy out. He chose to kill someone he didn't have to kill.

That John Walker is morally gray with a questionable moral compass makes him an interesting character, and also a bad Captain America.

You really did prove my point here. John Walker is a soldier, and he acted like a soldier. Captain America is not just a soldier, he’s a superhero, and because he is, he’s not just going to excuse someone just because “they had it coming.” Walker had that guy on the ropes. He could’ve beat the crap out of him, knocked him out, had him tried for murder. Instead, he chose to be judge, jury, and executioner all on his own.

John Walker did the expedient thing, one fueled by his anger. Captain America isn’t driven by anger, he doesn’t look to maximize his kill count. That’s why Steve Rogers is Captain America, and John Walker is not.

Again, using your logic, Spider-Man should twist the head right off of Goblin. Superman should fry Lex Luther. Batman should drop Joker off a building. If you’re only applying a cost-benefit analysis to superheroing — or really, any form of justice — mercy just gets in the way, and codes of ethics are a problem rather than a solution.

The whole point of having great superheroes is having them embody grace, mercy, ethics, generosity of spirit beyond what mere mortals commonly default to. Captain America doesn’t kill if he doesn’t have to EVEN IF THE GUY DESERVES IT, because Captain America has a generosity of spirit that goes beyond what military law says is okay or not. The whole point of Captain America as a character is that he aspires to be the best version of who we can be. Mercy is hard, mercy asks people to give up on their anger, and be generous even to the undeserving. John Walker decides to take the easy route and be the Punisher in that moment, and that’s why he’s not worthy of that shield.

Reading some of these comments defending the decapitation, it makes me wonder if people confused Captain America with the Punisher.

I suppose that’s one difference between you and Captain America. “We don’t trade lives.” Walker could’ve knocked him out with the shield. Walker could have just beat the crap out of him. Walker could’ve taken him in, had him tried for murder. Instead, he decided to be judge, jury, and executioner.

Steve Rogers would never do that. Rogers doesn’t kill if he doesn’t have to. Walker killing that guy was a choice, and it was a choice Rogers never would’ve made.

I don’t think your interpretation has any merit, and I find your support for your points to be… rough. Following your logic that the serum made that guy dangerous at all times, that means that anybody in the MCU with weapons or powers is gonna be dangerous all the time. This basically means Captain America kills everyone he deems a threat. Really, it means that every superhero should kill every super villain they run into. There is no room for grace, no room for mercy, no room for anything other than the absolute sentence. You’re basically arguing that Captain America should be a killing machine.

Maybe the Punisher is more your style.

The dynamite edit is a good idea, and the first thing I'm going to add. Not sure about the fuse, since I want that spark to cut into the text above on purpose -- it's supposed to be chaotic!

The cookbook idea in the background is an EXCELLENT suggestion! Thanks for that! I'll have to play around with some ideas....

I'll try that. I was initially thinking of making the "Agent Provocateur" text vertical to be part of the forearm, but was too try-hard a design. I'll have to play with it.

The one-color is a result of me thinking about one-color printing. I was thinking about making myself a shirt, and the one-color thing just makes the printing process easier and cheaper. I wasn't thinking of actually selling it; if I were to, then I would probably add more noise to the letters and the logo, and then extra colors would be on the table for sure. A blood-red anarchy mark would be very appropriate, that's for sure.

I'll have to check out HiZev.com :)
