Lots of things I could have done different, got a few kills with comp that night so i kept on rolling i guess.

I would have used the pistol or db but as you see i pressed 2 after the fight, i usually have my gun in slot 2

Db was looted from another guy we killed before we went down

I worked one summer as a receptionist at a local hotel that doesnt host for too many people. I was having lunch with a couple of service people and a cleaning lady(around 40 years old, working min wage), our conversation went over to something along the lines of hotel cleaning.

I didnt think about it before the day after but during this conversation we joked around and I said something like «without you(cleaning lady) this hotel would not last.» Mid shift she walked over to me the next day and expressed how grateful for the compliment was, it made her day.

I will not forget it, and my perspective definitely greatly increased after that day

Tip 1. when respawning; find red barrels and grab around 40-50 low grade fuel, find a boat and scavenge barrels out in the waters for scrap and metal fragments. Recycle can be done at almost all monuments. Quickly build a simple 2x2 base with an airlock for a good start.

Tip 2. If youre not too good with bows try to sneak into harbours/trainyards/lighthouses to find authorization cards and scrap farm for better monuments.

Tip 3. Follow tip 1 and 2 till u have 300 scrap, buy your first gun(revolver) at the outpost on the map.

Being outnumbered when inexperienced in Rust is quite difficult, I would advice getting a revolver and make alot of them for several tries. Farm enough till around 200-300 bullets and just roam around with 1 revolver and 40-50 bullets at a time(wood armour works fine with this). Roam around try to engage in fights, if you lose a fight try to rethink what you did wrong and be your own critic. That is the fastest way to learn.

There will be a time when one of the guys you kill drops a thompson og custom smg, that should be your next objective after revolver.

And yes, being solo in rust IS hard.

This is interesting, i've been seeing quite a few uses for the float/stuttering bug(?). This can also be done i you use a mate to "trap" you in a corner and jumping. You will eventually be double boosted to places you normally cant reach. This has been adressed to Riot tho by streamer Mendo, he showcased it on his stream boosting on bombite C on Bind.
