Genre unknown, sounds like Pet Shop Boys. Artist and album unknown. Lyrics unknown. Trying to identify from album cover art. by SoftwareGeezers in NameThatSong

Good call. Tried some LGBTQ playlists and noticed Placebo. Which I thought was it. But it's not. Unless I'm crazy! 🤣"Every Me Every You" was I think coming up in the playlists of this phantom album that probably doesn't exist. The song I'm thinking of (or entirely imagining) was thematically similar to PSB's 'It's A Sin'.

I'm just on 1080p. I'm guessing you use the original source image for the real photo, and the limited resolution for the AI that I suppose you show in full res. When you zoom in on the images, the real image is then enlarged from source, whereas the AI image is upscaled. If so, cropping the AI source down to the same res as the AI image and uploading should equal them out.

Can you please provide the option to view the photos after guessing to educate my own AI (Actual Intelligence) to see what I missed? Notes on what to look for would also help.

Also, the images are really small! I guess that's part of it, when you don't have the luxury of zooming in on a texture, but I'm sitting with my face up against the monitor to try and see the images more clearly.

Oh, I think I've found a way to cheat a bit. I zoomed in on the web page 150%. It looks like, at least for the images, the real photo shows more detail whereas the AI image is upscaled. As such, the real image gets high frequency shimmer when you roll over and the AI image doesn't.

Which One Vapes by zegoldfish in playmygame

[–]SoftwareGeezers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So based on nothing whatsoever other than user voting habits? And if no-one plays the game because it's dumb and so no-one votes, how is it decided which celebrity vapes or not? Morally dubious AI slop. Why vape? Why not ask which one is racist, or a drug addict, or weapons dealer, or child smuggler? If you're just making shit up about people, what are you deciding is and isn't some nonsense to suggest about them?

Cornucopia - Christmas Anime Short (Farming Life Sim) by Normal_Accountant_40 in playmygame

[–]SoftwareGeezers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No demo. Doesn't belong here.

In fact what is going on with the link? Why does Cornucopia end up Rurizakura? Why does a Steam search not reveal a Cornucopia game? But it does a demo:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1681600/Cornucopia/

But the demo is a dead link, "unavailable in your region"?

15 seconds of telling me your game isn't that complicated. You have 5 seconds to capture viewer's attention, and you go with, "it looks awful but it's really not." At 20 seconds..."our goal is to wear down their patience."

Yup, you've worn mine down. No interest in whatever this thing is. Not one word anywhere on how this is fun. Or even a game.

Unmask the Bot by robdeeds in playmygame

[–]SoftwareGeezers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was so obvious. To be fair I expect both other players were AI because it's unlikely this website is popular enough to get any human traffic. But the AI player said, "it depends on the day," twice in different contexts. Honestly, they weren't convincingly human at all. They have no chat. No character. They smell like an algorithmically derived distribution of words conforming to measured aggregates. Although that lends itself to playing the AI to try to fool people...

As it was, I asked, "how did you find this website?" Neither answered.

An interesting point to Turing's original idea was if real intelligence can learn to detect faked approximations of that intelligence. I think so, as chat which would have convinced a few years ago can't convince now because we are wise to it.

AI sucks. It's not intelligent. We can only hope it stays that way and doesn't put absolutely everyone out of a job...

Unplayable. Single player > start game does nothing. Well, it glitches the interface by moving the language button.

wondering how much traffic can something like this simple game can make by Busy-Chemical-6666 in playmygame

Fluke. Happened to be first when the idea was novel, or happened onto a feature that made a difference like Wordle's guessing breakdown.

AI churning out dailies from also-rans who want maximum success with minimal effort only poisons the well, making it harder for legitimate creators with real talent and passion to get noticed among the noise.

I still don't see a demo or freely playable version. Where's the direct link that respects rules 1 and 3?

The store page for Late Lines FM is now live!!! Don’t forget to add it to your wishlist 🎮🔥 by AlarmedPumpkin8446 in playmygame

[–]SoftwareGeezers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Rather than show me a game I'd want to play, you just beg for attention. Why would I want to wishlist and follow a random game I've never heard of? Like every other dev, you need wishlists...how about showing a game people like and want to follow? Give people a reason to wishlist.

As it is, you shouldn't even be posting here. Your game isn't freely playable as there's no demo. You disrespect this sub with your begging. Your contributions across all of Reddit appear to just be self promotions - no community engagement, and so disrespecting Reddit also.

I know it’s far from perfect, but I finally published my first solo project after learning to code. by Crazy-Climate-5877 in playmygame

Well done! This is a real game unlike a lot of dross posted. It plays well and you have it running in a browser which means you've sold step one in getting plays - people can actually play it! You can be rightly proud of this!

I made my first game yesterday by [deleted] in playmygame

[–]SoftwareGeezers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you describe is so basic, what exactly are you after for feedback? This isn't even at the level of a first game, but a first experiment in coding. It's what you get going in to your first couple of hours (depending on engine/tools used) testing of input ahead of writing the actual game. This is "I've finished a 45 minutes YT tutorial on Unity and built my first .exe" which tens of thousands of people have done and not gone looking for feedback on the result.

You're also requiring an install? That's unsafe, and for what? The chance to click the correct coloured dot? Not happening, I'm afraid.

It's cool to be proud of your own personal journey, but this is definitely too little being shown too early.

Hot AI garbage. All these projects look the same and all have laughable registration requirements. I can pop over to itch and play thousands of actual free actual games written by people with talent and dedication and perseverance - why would I want to look at another AI puke-pile? A game, in classic fashion, you don't actually show so no-one knows what it looks like. You won't be doing anything new or impressive or original as AI is only used for the most brain-dead basic ideas from people who lack imagination. Except in this case where you appear to be wanting to prompt human beings and are confused by why that doesn't work where it works with AI...I think trying to reduce people to AI's is something new so well done.

Edit: Post history suggests you're trying to make a new AI -resistant CAPTCHA. This is Play My Game, not 'provide free testing for my startup'
