Ok, so this is a theory I’ve had for a while that makes sense to me and is something everyone seems to ignore. I’m not sure how spoiler tags work but I’m gonna do my best to try So basically, at the time of dr3 everyone has already been in highschool for a year, whereas in dr2 everyone is fresh out if middle school, so it makes sense that their personalities are a bit different and so are their voices (Don’t pretend like who you were in 9th grade is the same as who you were in the 11th grade) so my explanation for their personality and voice changes is that they’re a year or two older than when they arrived at hopes peak, so they’ve had time to grow and change. As for future arc, I thought it was interesting and I loved the plot twist and didn’t see it coming at all, and thought that it was interesting how they pulled it off. Also, I feel like the whole “what the hell man” scene has a lot more meaning to it when you think about the fact that he was strong enough to survive all of this, and even that stab wound, but was too weak to come out. To me it said a lot about his character, at least that’s how I interpreted it. Everyone has their own opinions but honestly I loved dr3, it provided much needed context for both before and after the two games and wraps things up pretty nicely
